I opt for a Restoration Ritualist for healing and support. Monk is usually the first choice to come to mind but Paragons, Ritualists and even some Necro builds can also be very good. What is your choice?

Playing Guild Wars (all games in franchise but mainly GWEN and Nightfall) and WoW (just returned to this great game).

Eagerly awaiting Aion, Guild Wars 2 and Wrath of the Lich King.

Have also played CoV/CoH

"Next time i log in SWG ill probably see elves and druids"

Mo/Rt is the first thing that comes to mind. you use the divine and healing prayers for the heals (duh!) and then dabble some into restoration from the ritualist, im sure you could find some good combos mixing divine and restoration atributes

Necromancers you pick if you can't decide what to run, they're usually not healers only but rather hybrids doing damage and healing. Rits are the same; hybrid is the way to go, although they're a quite flawed profession that's inferior in the most ways. Paragons provide support - not heals. Paragons are plain bad if you try to make them heal, but when it comes to general support they're awesomeness. If you want to heal then Monk is definitely the way to go since that's the profession that's made for it and it's also superior in all ways to any other profession when it comes to healing and protting. Secondaries don't really matter since Monks got everything they need in their primary profession.

I've seen Paragons used as back-up healers/support. I agree they are not good as straight up healers.

Monk is the best at healing in my opinion simply because of Divine favor. I can't express the number of times that little bit of extra healing has come in handy.
