Whatelse didn't make it at launch? Can someone make a realistic list that isn't making excuses?

The graphics look great. I don't see a lot more room for impriovement without dingnig performance. They really capture the look of the Warhammer setting and it's dark tone, and the lightnig is really gorgeous.

When you're in a RVR battle with hundreds of people you'll be turning them down.

Nope, graphics just suck frankly.. horrible , I'd recommend you stay with the MMO of your choice, perhaps V:SoH or AoC.  Both have "high end" graphics and full of bright pretty colors to amuse you.

The rest of us will appreciate the more subtle beauty that is war, where shiny baubles are traded for more substantive fare, like gameplay, stability and fun.

But a simple no would do, you don't need to sugar coat anything, I'm not interested of "on the fence" with this game.

No they have not improved there are not hi rez / quality textures as of yet, as it was, what is there is functional for the gameplay and thats all that really matters imho.

They are definitely improved from screen shots from a couple months ago. They also recently fixed a problem where textures were blurry further away from the character.

Environment lighting is now excellent, though I think they need to do something to improve lighting of your own character.

Art design and texture quality are excellent and all the elements blend together perfectly, unlike some games where disparate elements don't always match up well.

Edit: I find the quality of the Chaos chapter 1 area to be seriously subpar vs. some other starting areas, but even there the zone gets better as you move on down the road.

Some areas may not look as good as others.

Who is more the troll? The troll or those who feed them?

Once again, a thread with several repliers who don't seem to have a clue.

If you guys just read the last few patch messages, you'd see that they actually did a considerable amount of tweaking in a patch about 2 or 3 days ago.  The game looks much better now.   Especially in the distance where there used to be some fuzziness now, but also because you can set your texture allocation on a new slider.

Granted, it's not Crysis, but only people without an understanding of the goal of MMORPGs would want one to look so pretty that you can't cram that many players close together without killing your frame rate.

If only i had a penny for every time i read that shi!t. The option needs to be there for people who CAN run a game with pretty graphics and a lot of people. Doesn't mean that everyone has to play at those settings....

Except that making a game with bright shiny graphics costs time and resources (read money) to ensure compatibility (read money) and thus catering to the few doesn't make much sense financially.  Just ask Funcom or SoE.
