So i've been playing this game in default settings for a few hours now. For some reason this game with its subpar Graphics seems to take a ton of Ram. This leads to my computer crashing every 20-30 mins. I run 32 bit vista with 2 gigs of ram and a 8800 GTX (512), 2.6 gig duel core (Performence 6.01). Im not to happy with lowering the graphics settings to low since it will look like total crap, but does anyone know any ways to make sure War doesn't Hog every bit of Ram. I enjoy having Firefox, MSN Messanger, War and Ventrilo open while I play. I do play in Window mode i might add. I can do this with WoW. I can even have Live Wow and WotLK Beta WoW open at the same time and never crash. Anyone else having these War system Hog issues? |

2 gigs of ram with Vista is the -bare- minimum you need. You'll probably need to upgrade it up... But I'm definitely not the resident expert around here, so someone else might offer better advice... *hide* |

If you''re going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you''re going to be locked up. |
Yeah 2 gigs on vista is the bare minimum, if your gaming on vista I would go atleast 4 but if its 32 bit it will only show 3 and some change I believe. But WAR takes up a gig of memory by its self maybe a bit more, which seems resonable to me. It does have better graphics than WoW you just have to look closely and you'll see.
So your options are either get more ram or quit running all those side programs. I just play WAR maybe with Vent eventually but I see no need to be running all that other stuff in the backround. But whatever floats your boat. |
