So, is this some kind of admission that Operation Immortality is a tragic joke?

Stephen Colbert is saving humanity by having his DNA digitized and sent into space on the Tabula Rasa Immortality Drive. Now you can join him, and together determine the fate of the entire human race!

This Thursday, Sept 18, 2008, tune into Comedy Central to watch General British, Tabula Rasa’s own Richard Garriott, on “The Colbert Report” discussing Operation Immortality and Stephen Colbert’s ultimate contribution to humanity. And, of course, there is still plenty of time for you to contribute by having your DNA immortalized alongside Stephen’s.

Over the next two weeks, four lucky Tabula Rasa players will be selected to have their own DNA sequenced and recorded on the Tabula Rasa Immortality Drive, which will be stored on the International Space Station when Richard visits in October. But wait, there’s more—when you play the game you will receive an in-game working model of the rocket that will send Stephen’s DNA into space. Pretend you are a Soyuz control center technician and have your own liftoff!

If you don’t have an account, download the free trial here to create an account, play now, and qualify to become immortal.

To serve your country, your planet and all of humanity, play Tabula Rasa and join Stephen Colbert in space!

"The Colbert Report" airs on Comedy Central, immediately following the "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" at 11:30 pm / 10:30 pm CT.

I think Colbert likes video games. Awhile back he paid tribute to DDO.

Tragic joke for the investors, employees and customers of NcSoft, anyway.  This was a great opportunity to throw a little attention to the game and the business.

Listened to the Colbert report yesterday, and noticed there was  NO PLUG  for either Tabula Rasa or the company.  This is standard operation procedure for whenever Richard gets some publicity--it's all about Richard, all the time.   For years, he'd get the ear of the press, and never mention the game or NcSoft.  "Me, me, me...it's all about Me."

NCSoft must enjoy seeing how much of the money they paid him are going into his little space adventure and self-centered advertising.
