Its not going to take a week to hit max lvl like other games do, but it's not going to be near as long as most of the games you people keep comparing it too. I don't mind grinds, but its obvious this game isn't going to be one.

I know there are other threads about this but they don't get to the point imo.

I agree just because it's from Korea. People need to take the time to read the reviews and visit some of the fan sites dedicated to Aion before saying ingnorant things about a game beforehand.

Don't you guys already see the picture of this game? This is the first korean mmorpg that is western oriented instead of the traditional korean grindfests.

Unfortunately, most of whoever says this is a grindfest doesn't care whether this is a grindfest or not. Most of the time they don't like Korean-made period. The damage is done. Only they can undo this stereotype, hopefully NCSoft's Aion will set the prime example.

I don't know if this game will be a "grindfest" or not, but I think the terms "grind" and "grindfest" are very subjective things. One person's "fast leveling" may be another person's "grindfest". I do agree that it is a stereotype given to Korean games in general, and like the last poster believe that this game will have to undo that stereotype (after actually being released) by actually being different and proving it.

Yes, Aion isn't going to be much of a grinding like other Korean MMO's, but then again what is grinding? It is many times announced that this game will be presented for the Western people's taste, so least of my concerns is grindfest, rather if Abyss turns out to be good. :)

This is not going to be another grind fest, but something more special, I hope the NCSoft really puts this one together, I hope this will be the best Asian MMORPG beyond FFXI, Lineage series, but like 5 million world wide, oh i hope

Well i am personaly happy that Aion is produced by NCSoft and specialy by a korean developer.

From my point of view koreans really know how to make mmo's fun but in a way i am kinda disapointed is too easy to lvl .

I was been looking for this kind of game since i hit lvl 60 in WoW pre BC and got very disapointed about thats no pvp system rather than just do BG's.

Masive siege wars outdoors is what i like and only asian mmo's seem to cover this part.

Well it should still have great world pvp even if there isn't a lvl grind.

Also, I know there are different definitions of grind, but you have to look at the opposites of eachother and use that as a scale, like games that take days to weeks to max a character and those that take months to years.

Feel free to edit the scale, and move Aion in the direction you want but support the move with info.

The easiest game I have played was WoW thats where I get easy, hard comes from L2 and RF online. This is where I think Aion lands from all the info I've been reading, and the experiences in leveling I've had.
