It was opening weekend for WAR, as I understand it.  Has anyone seen a change in World of Warcraft related to it?  If so, what changed?  If not, why do you think there wasn't?

I play both, and haven't seen an impact at all on my server of Archimonde.

Not a single player from my guild quit for WAR...... not even 1, we had a few trying WAR like I am.... None have left or likely to leave.

After 2 days of WAR, I really like the game. It is very fun, and RvR is just as fun as it was in old DAoC times.

The sad truth is, it still isn't as good as WOW.

It just isn't, I know people are sick of WoW, it's just WAR isn't going to deliver anything that is going to snatch up players from WoW.

I will admit to having more fun with WAR is regards to pvp, however WoW's PvE and Raiding still poops on WAR.

PvPers are still the minority in gaming in comparison to PvE players, and WoW has the upper hand in this category.

Well that is my take on it.

If you''re going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you''re going to be locked up.

I havent even logged into WoW since open beta started. I havent had the urge to log in, WAR is so much more fun for me at least. So IDK if there was any impact on my old server.  Letting my WoW sub end and playing WAR from now on.

Playing Guild Wars. Waiting for Fallen Earth and SE new MMO.

Interesting enough i saw an impact on lotro.  I resubbed last week and saw a lot of people on trial accounts. I dont think its only a coincidence.

WAR is doing very well, and it is a popular game the server queues attest to that, but it hasn't dented WoWs prime demogrpahic, it has just given the disgrunteled PVPer a place to go.  I do think that if they would have given more attention to the PVE and Crafting game that WoW would have seriouse issues with it population right now, It is only a matter of time before a devloprgets the combination right.

iam in a pickle i was in a state waiting on wotlk, played wow since beta and thought  i would try war untill wotlk came out now i think iam gonna stick with it and let wow sub run out. I know some one said war raiding is not as good as wow (i wouldent know not got that far into war yet to compare) but that seems to be all there is to wow at the end game and if like me you dont like raiding as i think it takes to much time there is not much else. But hey if you like raiding there is plenty in wow (if you spend any more time than a 8-10 hours in a game per week you really need to get a life. sorry but its true)

EQ-WoW raider

Out of our guild (raiding BT/Sunwell) 2 people are trying WAR (including myself), although we are still subbed to WoW and join the raids. Most didn't even know what WAR was when there was a thread about it on the forum.

8-10 hours a week isn't a gamer. It's a noob who wants to be a gamer.

This is about 1 hour 1.5 a night over 7 days.

So by this we know that NO FFXI player has a life because it takes 1hr a night to just find a group in that game.

No WoW raider has a life as each instance can take well over an hour, most 2+ hours a night.

LotRO no life, raids are over an hour.

City of Heroes, Raids take 3-6 hours per run.

Everquest and Everquest 2 - min 2+ hours a run.

I dont think I need to go on any further,

Basically by your definition anyone who plays any MMO on planet earth is a no life loser....

Interesting.....

I may be a little oblivious because I'm an avid roleplayer.  Most of the time I'm on an RP server and the few times I'm not I'm on an RPPVP one.  Being that WAR doesn't sound like RP competition, this could be why I notice very little impact.  I did notice Goldshire seemed a little quieter, the GuildRecruitment channel in the major cities a bit calmer, and less pointless spammage or antics going on.  So for me it looks like a plus.  This could also be school coming into full-swing, I don't know.  I am inspired to do more on the RPPVP servers because I'm thinking those who enjoy gankdom may be taking a WAR break.   I suspect they'll be back on November 13th.

actually i think there´s more and more players coming to wow, maybe its the expansion being close to release duuno, but in grim batol at peak hours theres hundreds and hundreds of players, dailys pvp raids on the enemy faction capitals etc, i think when blizz release next subscriber numbers it will be way over 12million :) gotta say though i would like to try warhammer but not so soon i went all over conan loved it first month but then ewww.....
