Welcome to Philadelphia, now go home! |
Tried this about a dozen times, could not get launchpad to start, then after giving it admin rights it could not connect to internet. Have vista home edition, plenty of space, plenty of ram. Gave the launcher.exe file exception to get around firewall, opened ports 7000 and 9700, DEP exception and it still would not work. Tried going through SOE knowledge base (no help). Set up an account with SOE and got a differrent station thing to come up, but it had no option for Vanguard free trial, only 3 games I never heard of before. Would love to try out vanguard but can't get it to work. Any ideas? Ex-AoC player not wanting to try WAR yet and Origins may never come to fruitition, so am trying this route....help?

Yup. It gets to a box that states to continue with installation or re-install, if I hit continue it just gets stuck at "trying to connect to internet" at which point it states that I may have no internet connection....

Maybe a firewall issue? |

I allowed the program to go thru the firewall and added the ports, and added it to DEP. I guess vista is not meant to run vanguard. |
