Just curious how all of you feel about how easy mode this game is. Quests are childishly easy. Mobs are easy and loot takes no effort to get. Pretty much every other person playing the same class will have easy access to the same gear and setups you do. Pvp is quick easy and alot like other online shooters. Zerg, die, respawn and charge back in. Now don't get me wrong... I do like the game. Just wish there was more of a difficulty level involved in it. I fear I will get tired of easy mode here very shortly. Where is the challenge and the rewards for those challenges. Or is easy mode what folks are looking for these days? Your thoughts... Reanim

What exactly do you want harder in PvE since you're quite vague? There's already areas where you wouldn't consider going in without a group in PvE. Even PQs require more people towards the later stages of it since some of them are quite brutal. PvP? You want harder action? Come join the ranks of Order! The reason you think it's easy is because you're playing Destruction! But if you really think there are no rewards for playing, then you're not really playing the game if you haven't noticed. |

I think in the beginning it may seem like that, but the higher I leveled, the more difficult they seem to make the quests, mobs and such. I also know PQs just from chapter 1 to chapter 6 went from kill some regular mobs, kill a champ or two then kill a hero to kill some regular mobs, kill a bunch of champs then try to kill 4 or 5 linked Heros. I have also been doing quests that involve mobs at least 3-4 ranks above me, which makes it more challenging. |

I,m currently T3. Can take on 3-4 mobs my own level with no fear. There is no need to to do stage 2 or 3 on the PQ quests. All you need to do is kill the mobs that are giving PQ exp wait till the blue bar fills. Take the reward and move on. Quests are childishly easy. So where are these tough areas? So far I have yet to see anything remotely tough except for the hero mobs and we were not meant to solo those. Even when you do group and kill a hero class rewards are ussually less than what you get for just completing the exp end of the pq. Reanim Maybe I was expecting a game where I would have to earn my rewards. You know... Dungeons, groups, rare items, crafting etc... Here its kill x amount of mobs and recieve your shiny blue weapon. Repeat every 2 levels. |

You want a challange? Try Mount Gunbad in Blackfire Pass, there are a total of 9 PQ's in there and mobs that will challange even you, trust me. PQs give different color bags and they contain items of different raity. A gold bag has a set piece (usually blue), a purple item, a blue item, a green item and various blue/purple crafting ingredients. If that is a bad reward then i think you are expecting too much. You sound to me like someone who on purpose plays a certain way to make the game boring. Why do you punish yourself? If you just do the first stage of a PQ you miss out on the real fun and the good rewards. If this is the attitude you play the whole game with then i am not surprised you do not like it.

The reward system in its current state is biased in favor of those that are doing high dps and or a combo of dps/healing ( Dok ). Secondly... Why bother going through heroics to get an item that will be replaced in 2 levels? see my post topic ( Whats the point ) Third... Why would a person have to conform to a certain play style to have fun? Reanim |

Originally posted by taus01 This is pure gospel. From time to time I've found myself falling into the same pitfall. As my MMO burnout worsens, I am more and more reclusive, trying to solo more and more of the content. Ironically, I have become anti-social in a game that I play purely for its social aspect (that is to say online multiplayer.) In so doing, I am (as you said) missing out on the real fun and the good rewards. |
