World of Warcraft

i'm really considering coming back for WotLK (also WoW is still the most polished up MMORPG)... though i'm wondering if there's still issues with these problems.

AV botters

City spam

Arena balance

What problems are you referring to? Those? I think they'll always be there in one form or another.  If you enjoyed WoW and aren't tired of playing in view of the changes Blizz will be making, then I say try it. If you like it, then it'll be worth it.

If you are not sure you'll like it, wait a bit to see for yourself the changes made and whether you think you'll enjoy them then.

Worst thing to do in any situation is rush a to decison without information.

AV botters is a gamebreaking issue IMO (for me). Having half the team bot and leech honor makes not even playing that aspect of the game fun.

Spam ... yep has that too.

Arena imbalance .... yep , will always be unless you do 5v5 ....not to mention all the hacks in arena ...99% of people dont even know when they've been hacked so it goes unreported.

 But if those are your main concerns , they are very small in the overall scheme of things. Plenty of servers run AV premades daily .... that problem is solved.

 As for spam , ignore it ... not a big deal.

 Arena imbalance .... thats your call. Personally I did quite well in arena with 3 different classes and then quit doing them altogether. I have no desire to arena anymore .... too worn out and too repetitive for me. Arenas just seem like who has the best gimmick or team of the month.  Neither of which impressed me on a players ability to pvp. If I had time to 5v5 much, maybe It would have been different , I dunno.

yeah, im thinking of comming back too. i have not played in 4ever, but some recent changes and the pre-order of wotlk are draggin me back in. i just hope bliz does somethin to keep ppl like me who where there pre-bc and experienced the fun of the hge 40-man raids and the badass server-pvp in there.

I don't think that city spam is so bad, the ablity to report spam and ignore someone just by right clicking their name on chat window and choosing the option was a great update. I don't know if you have played after it was added or not.

But arena balance will likely only get worse as WotLK is released since they are doing so large changes to classes and game mechanics. While it's likely that ultimately those changes will lead to more balanced game and arenas, large amounts of changes do usually lead to inbalances at first.

The only thing that get comments in Wow these days is Arena.

But those who say "Arena sucks", are really saying  "I suck in Arena".

I challenge anyone to look into the top 500 arena players of the world  (out of a possible 10 million) and don't find anyone of his preferred class in it.

You just loose about 50% of your arena fights, that's normal, that's statistics. There is only ONE Carl Lewis (and even he has been beaten now).

So grow up and enjoy the ride (again).

Some classes get shafted or have a hard time finding a good team. Mages and Hunters have it bad with the LoS BS... And suppose pallies have had it hard (though aren't they gettign buffed?). I like the concept of arena... i'm also very pvp focused, but it needs fixing. Every class is capable of being on a #1 team, but some classes have a longer harder road ahead of them.

Wow is a great game however it still has alot of problems.
