The answer is yes to both.  New people are being drawn to Vanguard and old people are returning.  In my guild, we have an influx of new players and returning players.  Additionally, the devs stated the server populations has doubled.

However, if you are a returning player and you left Vanguard because you finished the Raid zone Ancient Port Warehouse then do not return yet.  They are currently racing to push out new content for high level grouping and raiding.  This new content is challenging.  You must play well and its not just get the best gear and waltz through.  Its strategy, planning and execution.  You must harmonize your actions with your group members.  This will be initially frustrating but ultimately rewarding.

This new content should be here soon (tm).  I would guess within 4 weeks.  I will post more news as I learn it.

But if you left for anyother reason other than you won APW, then now is your time to return to VG.

Enjoy.

The general consensus of Vanguard has seemed to have shifted from "rubbish" to at least "good," meaning that with that more players are to be expected.

Vanguard has improved a lot and has gone from being "rubbish" to now being "poor". I checked out the Trial Isle and left a few days later. There are much better games to play.

Nothing comes close to VG for the PvE. This games is simply fantastic. Definately not the ugly duckling anymore.

Yes neonwire and your opinion is credible

You go out your way to post anything or something negative about Vanguard whenever anything positive is said .Your view is biased and false .I also want to know what game you play ?

To the Op yes the game is well worth playing IMO .It offers an immersive PVE experience and a vast world to explore with hundreds of quests

I returned today from a approx six months long break, and brought along my gf as well. We have both enjoyed ourselfs greatly. The quality difference is vast compared to what shape VG was in during this spring and, of course, at launch.

It seems I can finally discover VG and what it has to offer as a mmorpg, instead of getting pissed off by bugs, crashes etc.
