k im still crashing in this gaem which really pisses me off, anyone else got this problem

If all your drivers are up to date, you might want to download a system memory tester. Usually something that will boot off a floppy or CD a thouroughly test all the ram.

A few years ago I had unexplained crashing in one of my games. After trying everything else, I tested the ram and found one stick had a fault. Replaced the stick and no more crashes.

It seemed to mostly effect just one game, though I know I had occassional random crashes elsewhere, it was rare. Some games or apps can be more sensitive to ram problems. Also, a ram hungry game may write to a higher range of your ram that doesn't get used much otherwise.

Worth a shot.

i was crashing on XP alot, so i reinstalled vista and havent crashed in a few days framerates are better to and i hate vista. it is noticeably better all around though.

i should add that my win xp was a fresh install to.
