 Hello

Just wondering, I have a Druid.  Does anyone have leather working and is it worth it.  I just wanted to get some opinions on it before I get ti to max lvl.  I have seen some of the items you can craft and just not sure.

Any feedback would be great.

Pretty much every profession in the game is "worth it" some have better synergy with others like skinning/leatherworking. As a druid you can benefit from the leg armor pieces (wear and sell) and many other patterns as you level.

Just like all the others it really depends on few factors like how much time you can dedicate to collecting resources, how many other people are doing it, how the market is on your server and of course whether your goods are in demand.

I have skinning and leatherworking on my hunter as it just seemed to make sense for that character and he makes some nice money out of it from armor kits and such.

As i say, it is worth looking at your own servers market and see what sells well and consistantly and not just what spikes in price and drops off sharply the week after.

It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.

LWing for feral druids is really good since drums are one of the few items you can use while shapeshifted.

I made a fortune over the summer making leather armour kits, shortly after season 4 started. Was exceptionally dull time farming the clefthoof bulls in nagrand, but I made enough money to buy epic flight training in the space of 10 days.

It really is a pain to level though, ugh horrible, worse than enchanting even (maybe not as nasty as blacksmithing but close).

There is a leathercrafting shop in Dalaran (Wrath capital city) has all 3 LW specialists, Dragon,Elemental and Tribal.. no new recipies on those guys yet.  However this is another guy with 5 pages of recipies and 2 pages of lvl 80 epic stuff.

In short these more focus on crafting in wrath from what I have seen.

Is the gear for LW good or is just about making gold with it.

Depends on how hardcore you are.  Crafted gear ( for any profession) will get you pretty far into endgame.. but after about a year after the expansion, it will fade away.  For instance, the heavy clefthoof set was nearly the best armor a feral tank could have for a long long time.  People were tanking past Kaz in it

Crafting most of the good stuff requires you to have access to materials that drop in endgame raids. But since these arnt BoP, you can buy em off the auction house after doing a few daily quests.

Also the 10 man versions of endgame raids will make getting these rare mats alot more accessable and crafting alot more fun.
