WAR (Warhammer Online)

I bought the game expecting a lot of PvP fun, but I've decided to cancel my account after the first free month.  The gameplay is blocky and unpolished, and it takes forever to get a scenario queue on my server, not to mention only one of the three scenarios at tier 2+ even have enough players queue to get something going.  The world PvP is incredibley lame, the seige system sucks.  I won't be returning until this they smooth most of the issues out, but as bad as they are in the current state, I'm expecting this to take at least a year.

Dear Mythic,

Don't release games that still feel like they're in the early stages of beta testing.  I hope you'll learn your lesson when half of your subscribers cancel their accounts in November for a game that's succeeded in most aspects where you have failed.  I may come back in a year if you get your sh*t together, but by that time I'll probably be too occupied with much better games.

Well if you are making a pitch to WOW and trying to get your friends to play again you may be in the wrong forum. Unfortunatly if you think WAR's PVP sucks then that really says very little about WOW's. Only reason WOW has succeded is right time right place. If it switched places with WAR in release dates this topic would be saying the opposite.

Yes WAR has its problems but you really need to ask yourself what WOW is bringing thats new this November since its obvious you love WOW. The fact that WOW is doing nothing new and actually copying somethings from other games but doing less with them you need to worry about WOW not WAR. Do yourself a favor and worry about the problems with the game you do like.

Enjoy WOW, Mythic has its sh*t together. I have experienced few bugs, short times for scenarios and during peak times they are almost isntant. The open world RvR is fun when you get 2 good teams beating each other down.

I will admit that WAR has its problems right now however In my opinion its still the most entertaining PVP MMO out on the market. Its very casual friendly which is great for a lot of people. I for one am not big on quests as I was spoiled by classic SWG's make your own adventure style and I find linear quests to be extremely boring since most of them are predictable, formulaic and poorly written.  I like the fact that I pretty much dont have to do them at all and I can pick and choose while still getting decent xp and gear from PVP and PQs.

WOW doesnt fit my playstyle unfortunately. I played it for over a year and it never felt as free and open as WAR does while neither of them can compare at all to original SWG.

Your kind has ruined everything good about mmo's...all you do is bitch and moan. One time mmo communities were a place for civilized people to have fun and not for gear hungry kids that have an enlarged epeen. War will be a better place without you.

Not everyone is having the same exp as you.

Nov 13th Blizzard is publishing ITS version of world PvP.

You know the version with MOBILE siege engines, manned tank combat, air units and destructable walls (no more knocking on doors).

Oh and you will get rewards and achievements when attacking enemy cities, capitols and the BIG bosses like Thrall.

Videos are already all over the place on the web. So search and be happy Blizzard is there to rectify the problems in PvP we've seen now in AoC and War.

Blizz quality we all know so well... from SC to Diablo, from Warcraft to Wow.

The moment you'll see those tanks rolling in with mobile siege equipment you'll think back about the door knocking in War, for that I am sure.

 By adding all that will they be able to refresh a game that is just plain stale? Doubtful.
