My dog ate your homework. |
To all the EVE trolls coming over here with their holier-than-thou "EVE has a point" attitude.... What is that point exactly? I respect EVE and think its a great game but just not for me... I played its trial and left precisely because I found it pointless. What is this Grand Purpose that EVE supposedly has? Grind up the ISK for some corporation so it can have a bigger lump of space so it can grind up more ISK... until another corp comes along and proves to be more proficient at grinding that ISK. Sorry but EVE is "Predatory Capitalism Online" to me. I don't find it fun or purposeful in RL and especially not in a computer game. I'd rather be a part of a great army "pointlessly" waging an eternal war that can never, ever end.

Anything more then I can't buy my loot would be a better reason, change in the amount of renown I get based on number of keeps my side has, or how many/well equiped npc guards my side has, etc... Then keeps would have a point.
Well if you ever paid attention to the bonuses you receive from controlling objectives and keeps, there's about a list of 4 or 5 different bonuses that you get for controlling the Tier that affect your leveling speed, your renown gain speed, the price you buy and sell things for, etc. etc. There's a huge incentive to control your zone, just no one ever hovers their mouse pointer of the zone control bar at the top right of their screen, so they never see the bonuses. |
