Because even though it may be  a game people still payed REAL money for it and were mislead and lied to and in general treated very badly because of FC mismanagement. And before you say it, its irrelevant whether it was .05 or $500.  Its the principle of the matter

How about just saying your peace and moving on..Maybe its the gamers who have come to this Forum over and over and that have bashed the company, its employees and its fans who need to make an apology.

Its funny all of a sudden Funcom is coming around big time on content, fixing things, adding new content and all the negative posts have turned around into positive comments and into people that quit who said they will never come back are all coming back.

LOL really? Only what.....600k more customers to win back now?

The very last person that needs an apology are the fans ( fanboys) who enable FC to do what they did and its employees ( obviousaly not all) who have seen to do things as community building as having volunteeer mods on the offical forums that acted like idiots.

Given time some might come back and FC might rebuild a small amount of its rep but theres no way it happens anytime inside of a year from now

Do you demand an apology for a crappy movie you just bought a ticket for and sat through? Tom Cruise owes me a huge apology. How about a bad concert? If you lived by this you would want an apology for everything that does not meet your satisfaction. I tried and did not like sushi those damn fish owe me an apology.

Its threads like this that give us gamers such a bad name. have to admit when people call us "nerds and dorks" it's hard to deny it when there are threads like this around.

I payed good money for 2 copys of AoC for myself and my son. i played for a few enjoyble months then decided it wasnt for me. it's just a game, i wasn't lied to because i didnt make it my life to find out techno info on the game..." blah blah no dx10 " who gives a crap when the game works better without it? "blah blah unfinished" it's an mmo for gods sake, if you dont like them then go play something else, if you do then learn what it takes to produce them and unfortunately you have to accept there will be problems.

Hey even devs of games are human you know and will make mistakes, some will learn from them and some wont. do you really think they lie intentionally to fool us or do you think they sometimes dont get the results they wanted or that what they planned just can't be done sometimes?

seriously get a grip! i work hard for my pay and dont like throwing it away at all, but i know when i buy an mmo it's a risk and i may not like it, hell ive brought around 10 different ones in my time and only now with war have i found another game that keeps me occupied.

Grow up people and move on.

By the way im gonna start a petition against "blair witch project" producers, that was meant to be scary!

who wants to sign i'm sure people will stop making crappy movies if we all band together!

Possibly the winner of this weeks most useless effort award.  Its just a game, if you hated it, curse FUNCOM to the 12 depths of hell and move on.  You want to petition something get involved in politics, saving the planet or other useful activities.

Like the man said it is just a game, I have paid for games that i finish in less than a weekend.

At least AoC lasted for me longer than that, and i will be ale to play it again later when has more content.
 

Funcom have done themselves more harm than good with AoC anyway as there are millions who wont be buying from Funcom again. This may sound small in the immediate future but will impact them in the long run. 

Look at SoE and SWG, they still suffering from that today 5 years on......................
