I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to upgrading hardware on my PC. So I was just wondering if someone could take a look at my specs and tell me what could use an upgrade, and the cost of the upgrade. Thanks in advance.

Your system is quite old.  Its looks to be technology from 5 years ago.  With this in mind you have 0 to gain from upgrading parts and are better building up a whole new system.

If you do build a new system you will see huge improvement of performance.  You can also get a descent system today for a minor cost.  So it really depends on how much you want to spend.  I would say you will see about a 400% performance difference just using an IGP solution thats a board, processor, memory, and hard drive costing around $300.
