If you're a noob and you're just standing there toe-to-toe not moving with the mobs it's not such a big deal... but if you are executing intricate fine-motor manuevers like spinning around and knocking back that tank that's on you then whirling around and DPSing the caster you're after is basically impossible... the game updates after you've done both actions and will basically default to whichever movement you executed last.  Things like running behind someone to knock them back in the oppostie direction back to your team (a pretty basic manuver in a game like WOW or FPS) is impossible since the game autofaces and lags... you'll simply end up hitting them in the same direction you were running before you turned your character around to do the knockback (basically you'll appear to knock them BEHIND you opposite the direction you just turned)  For all the criticisms WOW has as a true E-sport at least the game mechanics are smooth... you can quickly target enemies, execute moves and the client responds smoothly like in a FPS... Warhammer is extremely crude its PVP will never evolve beyond the rudimentary team tactics of early DAOC.  I mean, I've played from 3 different locations all with <100ms ping and the game is laggy as hell because of the poor game engine and server architecture... and this is supposed to be a PVP game...

Today's lesson "How to identify a long winded troll."  Step 1: look for complete untruths in the post.  Highlighted above you see such an untruth.  WoW, in its current release state, does not have a knockback mechanic, so it cannot be a basic manuver in WoW to run behind someone to knock them back towards your team.

Please, remember to always be on the look out for trolls.

I was wondering whether they had introduced some new ability in WoW since I'd left the game.   Trolls never do check their facts.

To the OP, The Return Key is your friend!   Wall of Text Crit!  Ah!   :)

troll or not, you wont experience this in WOW, LOTRO, AOC, EQ2, FFXI, Vanguard or any other of those grindfested heavy PVE based games.im sure the only game that comes close is DAOC, which i never played, but heard of the good RVR. I have played all the above for an extended time, today was the first time i experienced anything like it in any mmo. it was epic.

LOL Machine you are almost the exact rank and renown lvl i am, im 23, RR12(almost 13). I play on Wasteland we have a 400 person guild. 70 were active tonight  we did that keep seige.

if you think this was great,  just wait till you start sacking altdorf, OMG WTF PWNS , yeah it's going to be something like that in a way. i had many  daoc great moments  , and if this game, which it is from what i've seen so far will be remotely anything like it was back in the past in daoc,  exspect many more great outcomes to come,

but remember, the other side dont like it that much  when you  upset their fun, they will want revenge !!!!

It truly is a very enjoyable game. While its not my favorite mmo of all time (EQ still holds that title), it definately comes about as close as SWG did at launch. Lots of fun, enjoyable pvp, and all around great gaming experience.  The only real problem I have had so far is sticking to one character. They are all, for the most part, enjoyable so I have been slowly leveling about 10 toons across a few servers ranging from levels 1-30+.

its fun for a few weeks, but its the SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER.  Same old instanced grind-fest-levelbased- meaningless pvp mmo we have come to expect and loathe

EDIT:
Remember people this is my OPINION. This is my greatest gaming experience. If you have had others (which im sure you do) thats great. No need for anyone to get mad because some of us actually enjoy the game. no need start a flame wars and comparisions. I just thought a might share my war scenario.

Im glad this is the best game ever created to you... too bad so few share this opinion.

Life is too short, go kill someone.

This game is the best game out there, for PvP/RvR. I personaly love to PvP and this new scale of World PvP is so fun. I agree that this is the best game ever created but the only thing that is bad is the requirements which means I have to spend more money on improving my computer (which was 3 years ago) and will do it just to play this game because it is WORTH IT!!!
