Finally we are going to get Calyce, the chick with the crossbow next week. But also Pets, item socketing (which I don't really understand), that whole fesos deal (a third currency) and premium plans (basically like a monthly sub, but you get gold) |

Well, they fixed the premiums back to how they were (mostly), so scratch that complaint. I still wish they would add more end game content for non-experts. I think the game is designed for a more hard core audience than exists here. |

Item socketing is probably like in Diablo II - don't tell me you didn't play it, I will drop dead right here. You can upgrade your equipment by socketing it with stuff. |

I get the idea of the item socketing (despite not playing Diablo) but it seems quite unclear just how you get the stuff to socket gear with. To install a socket, you just talk to Claire, pay vis, and hope it works (seems to be about 1/6 chance of it working) But installing a jewel and where to find one, that's not explained anywhere. There's a sticky on the official boards, but it's by a non-native English speaker and it's not real clear... |

Hmmm, so far this patch seems to make things even worse for the average player.
Why? Because to get the jewels for the sockets, you have to kill mini-bosses. So now the big clans are doing that, something they used to (usually) leave for others. Similarly, they apparently also drop in Poison Yard, along with stones for Fesos. So PY is now full of experts from the big clans all the time. So, not content to hog 90% of the stuff in the game, it's now close to 100%. I don't think it's good for a game for 100 people (or maybe 200) per server to be the ones solely using all the end game content. |

I just hope that the forthcoming patch will fix the GameGuard (or whatever it is to prevent hackers and the like) and allow me to successfully log onto the game. |

It's not forthcoming, it's now live. And no, the game still uses x-trap.
Another big downer - the one thing I was really looking forward to, the new character, Calyce, is shafted when it comes to weapons. No pioneer stuff, and in order to make her 92e weapon, you need an ultra-rare item (something I can't afford). Sigh. Why does this game cater to the uber-players so much? Why can't they make stuff for everyone? I guess becaues they want us to get frustrated and spend more and more in the cash shop.... |

BTW, X-Trap won't let me into the game. Should I re-download the game or order a DVD from K2 Network for $6.95? |
