WAR (Warhammer Online)

I just wrote an article here detailing what I believe are the games top 5 issues.  I think some of you might be able to relate to some of the items listed.  I'd would love to hear some feedback about whether you agree, or if you feel something else is in your top 5.

I think the biggest issue is that I'm having fun playing.. which seems to be some sort of bug.. I think I'll /bug it when I get home.  something like /bug other Mythic, Please stop making an enjoyable game.  I've read the forums, and it seems that everyone else isn't having fun, so I think I'm bugged.  Please make my game play suck, and make it so I don't like the game.  I expect this to to fixxed right away.  Thanks.

Just about every MMO played has these issues. Heck, balance is always an "issue" even years later these games.

I've really enjoyed this title, public quests, normal questing, scenarios and RvR areas. So most of those other issues have not had any effect on my enjoyment of the game.

The one that was causing me problems was performance. In games where you can pick up an artifact I was always too lagged to pick it up and asked about it in the scenario and someone mentiond "BuffThrottle".

It is an addon. I was ok, whatever. I tried it anyhow and holy cow...my lag in scenarios is gone. Never seen an addon work that well. Not sure if it will work for everyone but totally solved my performance issue.

I personally think Order and Destruction classes are balanced. I am a shaman. There are classes I can barely kill. There are classes that can barely kill me. I have yet to run into any situation where I was blown away by an imbalance between classes, and I scenario alot.

A lot of Ex-WoW players dont like a PvP game that doesnt cater to their every waking need like an infant. Im sorry to disappoint you, but I think WAR is a lot more balanced than a lot of its predecessors. More and more often, it seems to me, that it is the Ex-WoW players who seem to be the most outspoken and whiny over the things they dont like in the game and just arent being fixed fast enough. Its funny seeing as this game hasnt been out for a month yet, and they continue to get closer to the million mark even with these phantom rumors of people leaving.

Lag was #1 for me. Lag killed me more than players killed me.

2. Simplified combat, auto facing, no fear, limited stealth, no feign, no blink, etc. Combat got boring.

3. Couldn't find enemy for world pvp. Too many places to go for rvr. I showed up at point C while my enemy was waiting for me at point G.

I don't really know if all of these are real issues or just your perception.

For instance, this is not a one vs one game. Just not. And I'm glad about that. Not every class should be able to hold it's own with every class. It is about finding your place in the group and performing that job.

I think the RvR issue is an accident. Scenarios are so much fun for evenly matched (for the most part) pvp that people are gravitating toward that over RvR. This is a shame but it's just an issue because it turns out that they are more fun than the RvR apparently.

I think the fix for this is easy. Roll on a full RvR server and problem solved. You can gather a group and invade to your heart's desire. I bet some of the more bellicose players have done this.

Now, the Mail issue is an issue. A real issue.

The Equipment? Well it's hard to say as there are trade offs. I have found myself asking whether or not one piece of Armor will benefit me more than another and I've had to make some hard choices. This is not a bad thing.

Performance? This is more case by case as my performance is excellent with everything turned up high. So perhaps that goes under bugs which do happen and are an issue.

Personally I think the Top 5 issues in no real order are:

Bugs

Crashing while in a scenario and not being able to log back quickly. Also dealing with players who enter a scenario and leave it.

Dubious end game (because it takes so very little time to level or to get decent equipment, will players want to stick around?)

Class efficacy. This is different from Class balance in my eyes. Is a particular class able to do its job as well as it should.

and actually I can't think of a 5th so just 4.

Um, all they have released numbers wise is "Accounts created" ... that's a number that can *only* go up. So why use it in an argument where you call into doubt people leaving the game? O_o

Those are not my top 5 issues.  You got 1 out of 5 issues that I think are issues.  Possible some of the stuff on the bugs but I haven't seen it.

LOL! No fear? Limited stealth? Let me guess; you also want endless stunlocks right? Are you a rogue in Wow crying now because the new game does not have these?

Fear? LOL!!!! So you want War to have what pisses off 90% of the players in Wow? LOL!!!!!
