Anyone else pick this game up today?  To me, this is how next gen mmo character creation should be done.  I spent 3 hours today in its character creation experimenting with male and female characters until I finally settled on one I liked.

 

Saints Row 2 completely trumps GTA4's character creation.  I know these are not mmo's and therefore maybe they could go more indepth, but damn what a difference from the WOW type of character creation.  Probably SWG would be closest comparison to Saints Row 2, but with extremely upgraded graphics.  It makes me sad that we have to settle, but I guess that is the sacrifice we make for performance sake.

 

Also there are quite a few cool looking hairstyles in Saints Row 2, although as normally is the case there are not enough sexy long hair styles to choose from.  Long hair is so beautiful, but I guess it causes clipping or something and no one wants to put it in.

 

I've just played maybe the first 30 minutes.  Some improvements over GTA4 would be the whole city is unlocked from the start, driving is easier, aiming weapons so far seems adequate but I have been enjoying beating people up with my fists or objects I find around town mostly.  And character graphics seem a little better.  Also car and helicopter explosions are cooler with bits and pieces of the vehicles flying off.  Also there is a 2 player co op mode, which I am looking forward to playing with my wife.  Haven't tried that out yet.  Also has mutliplayer too, but I'll try that once I have been playing a bit.

 

Anyone who is bored with current mmo lineup, this could be an enjoyable time killer for awhile.  Later-
