I understand that you need to be 55 in order to create a Death Knight. But does it have to be on the same realm, or just have a character above 55 on your account? |

Don't believe what people say when you have not tried the actual product yourself! |
Pretty much as long you have a 55 level toon you can make a DK any server you want but 1 per server because blizzard dont want people to take advantage of making multiple 55 toons and grind up all the professions easily. |

I worry that Death KNights will become so overpopulated, that you will (once again) never be able to find a healer and be spammed with "DK LFG". |

What Pinkcat said. when wotlk is released you can only make a Death Knight on any server you have a level 55 toon. Later, they are planning to make it so you can make one on any server if you have level 55 toon on any one server. |

Well that sucks, I was thinking about coming back to WoW to play as a Death Knight on a server with my friend. I don't really feel like leveling something up to high levels again.
Oh well guess it wasn't meant to be. |

What if you already are maxed out on the number of characters you have on one server. Will they let me ad my death knight, or do I have to delete one of my characters ??

if it helps forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html * They have said that there will be no new character slots added at this point. So, if your realm is full to the brim of alts, you have to delete one of them in order to create the Death Knight. * Current plans are that once you unlock your Death Knight you can create one per realm across all realms you have a 55+ character on.

Presumably you can transfer characters to make room or to get a 55 on a server you haven't played on before... |
