Everyone should start demanding a new release date because they cant obviously finish beta, have an open beta, and then release all this year. They have taken 7 years making this game and they still only have very little information coming out. I have seen this crap before. (Dark and Light/Mourning for examples) They always have this awesome list of features and make their game out to be in perfect shape then they hit us with a load of crap after years of hype.

By now they should honor everyone with a weekend test to see what it is like or start showing off more videos or keep us up to date as the game gets closer to a release.

Some of you may take the typical stand for your game like they should be busy working on the game, etc. Dont waste your time this game needs to stop jerking around and give people something to get confident in this game.

MMOs are far to untrustworthy these days if they want any success they have to be giving every detail perfection if they want to compete.

When you make your own game, you can set the timetable for the release of information.  Aventurine still has till the end of the year to release their software, I'll taking a wait and see position until then.

The problem with what you said is you seem to overlook the fact that ..................................................

They have already said there will be no pre-orders and there will be a free trial of some sort because they want you to try the game free before you ever spend a dime on it

When they launch it they launch it, if you want to play it before you buy it guess what... you got your wish! lol. Other than that I am not sure what you want or are trying to say with this tantrum we want it now style post. The fans want the game to launch now but they know the reallity of the situation, when there done there done and when they launch they launch and no ammount of demanding or QQ will change when and how they do things.

My view on the beta.

Alpha : is general a closed door friends and family style thing. Devs and some friends and family test it out.

Closed Beta: Here is where you either let select people play the game outside of the Devs and there friends and family OR you hire proffessional testers to do it. I preffer the proffessional testers myself considering they are more inclined to uphold the NDA and do there job.

Open Beta: This is where you let lots of outsiders play to stress test ect and give a sort of preview as well as cacth any bugs missed by the above.

Considering they have had Proffessional Play Testers for awhile I for one am not under the impression we are waiting for clossed beta as some seem to think. What I am expecting is open beta because from what I have seen and read CLOSED BETA has already been underway for some time now.

You act like I dont have a say in any of their operations. As a potential costumer and a guy who has followed and played almost every major MMO to date they would do better if they involved us more. This game right now is pretty much under the radar for most people. They need to step it up and give us some better dates and more information. They should at least be able to tell with some accuracy if they can still make the date and confirm it.

Personally I think its a long shot.

Its not a tantrum its my concerns and I have every right considering the history of MMOs. They dont give enough updates and a free weekend trial of the game would be perfect to give us an idea.

Typical "QQ more" response not surprised

EDIT: I didnt say i want the game released now I want it released when its finished but since they gave a date of 2008 and its now only a few months away we should get an update. I understand they arent taking preorders and giving a trial also but that is how long away? We should get an idea or some more updates 2-3 times a week.

I hope your not surprised because they have already said long before your post that everyone is going to get to play the game free before spending any money on it lol. What you asked for they have already said there giving us.

So to me thats you either being ......

A) Impatient and QQ'ing

or

B) You didn't know and your QQ'ing

Fully agree. I went over to the official site and saw that they make one news post per month or so 

And the Hype this game is having right now is remarkable! Over all the years I've been engaged in online games this takes the point. I think more news is needed to try and kill off much of the unwanted hype.

Can you believe some people even say that it's a good thing they don't get so much news? That the devs are not "spoiling" them? I mean, it's really entertaining reading fanboy posts like that :D
