Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Hey-

I have played WoW, EQ2, WAR, etc... I have been playing the VG Trial for the last 10 days and absolutely LOVE IT! 

Here is my problem... I love grouping.. it's the main reason I play MMORPG's.  How is grouping in VG both at lower and higher level.  I hear the population is low, but the game play is JUST my style.. I really do love the game, but if grouping is going to be a problem then I may just hang up my MMO gloves.. Nothing really good out there right now...

Be the person doing the inviting and youll have no problem getting groups

Sit around with LFG on waiting for someone to invite you and youll NEVER group

The server population has changed from Low to Medium.  This changed around the launch of the Free Isle of Dawn.  Unfortunately perception is powerful here and Telon is just enormous.  The population continues to grow and imo isn't an issue anymore.

Join a guild and making groups will take care of your grouping issues.  Plus with this last patch, more peeps are jumping onboard.  Its a bright time for VG.

Sartok, pvp server, does have a low population and slowly growing.  The others are Medium though.

VG is a very good game for grouping experience.  Past lvl 15 all dungeons are group oriented.  VG has quests that are solo, small group, and group oriented.

The only challenge is getting a group.  Normally this isn't too hard as long as you are in thestra or qalia.  A good technique is to go to a dungeon and group up with people around it.  Or you can turn on lfg or you can just say I'm starting a group.  Sometimes you can get a group quickly sometimes it takes some work.  But most of the dungeons in VG are really great.  If you still to the main popular ones getting groups isn't hard.  Hunters league, TK, etc are running groups.  Also joining a guild is good.  My guild organizes weekly group quest runs.  Great fun.  We did just CIS quest series and it was a blast.

What is really cool are doing some of the more out of the way dungeons.  Anyway for grouping I give VG an A.  Of the games out in the past couple years it is the best.

Vangaurd is growin more sense they fixed alot of the bugs and preformence issues which killed the game at launch if you didn't have 3.4+cpu, 4gb of ram and a 7600+ 256card you could forget this game now they corrected alot of issues and it's not so harsh to run the game.  I personaly think vanguard is a better game then EQ2 just had a bad start...  I think if sony would release a expanion pack for the game and add some fun content and advertise the add on that they could draw in alot of the older players and newer.

Find a guild, often even 50th level guilds play a lot of alts.

Stick to the rift way suggested chunks, likely more people.

I never had a problem finding a group doing the chain quests no matter what alt or main I was playing. Places like Ant Hill, TK, those mines (the name escapes me).

I did TK so much I think I could do it blind folded. And it is a different experience each class I play.

The Arena is another place I found it easy to get a group. Fun fun game, espeically when grouped.

This game shines in the small pug environment.

I find pugging with strangers in this game more akin to fun than a kidney transplant like in other games.

You wil always find people lfg ....especially the ones who realize this is the best way to exp and the most fun. What you will not get is each group dungeon YOU may want at that level, which I find a little disappointing.....and i'm hoping that as more peeps come in will change.

so far I've been able to get groups for all the popular areas at my level if I'm patient and look at appropriate times of day.
