Unfortunately, no.  The only thing that will update will be the launch pad.  You need a valid sub to actually patch the game.  Depending on how long you have been un-subbed, the patch could take quite some time.  They have been releasing game updates about every 6 weeks or so.

You may want to wait until Nov 18.  That is when the new expansion is due to be released.

Yeah, it seems they have helped us with poor bandwith alot. It was a pleasant surprise being able to download the whole game and play within a few hours :3

not sure what server you were on, but najena server has a decent population. its a pve server with not too many whiners (you always have a few no matter where you go).

The pop is generally helpful.  A lot of the mid sized guilds are always willing to help when asked.

Good Luck and Hunt Well!

The Najena server is the unoffical Aussie server, so I think it should be good for odd hours :)

while there are a lot of aussies on this server (one of the top raiding guilds is all aussie), I would say it is far from the unoffical aussie server (especially since they do have their own server as well as european dedicated servers).

My guild is a pretty good mix of US players and aussies (including japan in that time zone).  There are some quiet times when california is not awake yet and aussies are going to bed.  But then, if you need a group to do anything other than a serious raid, something isnt quite right.  about 85% of the content is soloable.

And then, that is what guilds are for anyways... you need help doing something (like killing that last boss in a quest line) you call on your mates.

We had some guys in our guild that were from alaska and had all sorts of weird hours.  Up for 3 days straight online doing their thing.  So, I am sure you can find someone to group with at any time of the day (or night).

...

You mention 'since they do have their own server' when you talk about aussies. It is news to me there is an Oceanic server, could you give the name of it?

I just thought Najena was the unoffical one, but it seems to me you are saying there is an Oceanic server. Or perhaps I am reading you wrong?

I ask because it is new to me and I would like to know, thanks :)

To the OP, with your playtimes, I suggest you go for a highly populated server. This way there is a good chance there will be people all around the clock.

As far as I know Antonia Bayle (AB) is the server with highest pop, you could consider that one.

I am unsure what other servers have high pop, but it is definitely not the euro servers (unfortunately).

Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the server.  The only way I found out about it was a guild mate of mine (who is aussie) sent me a spare set of DVD's for an expac that I purchased the digital download for.  I  was having issues with one of my PC's at the time and would up having to re-install a few times.  Getting tired of the multi hour download and subsequent patching, he sent me his spare dvd's.

When I installed that set, none of the US servers were visible to me.  From what I recall, there were only 3 listed.  Freaking out and thinking my account was somehow fubared, I was able to detemine that in the INI settings had set my region to Australia and defaulted me to just those servers.  After editing the file (comparing the ini to my main account ini) I was able to get to the US server list.  I think now they make it easy by having a drop down box (they might have had it back then to, but like I said, I was freaking out over it).

So,  based on that experience, I had assumed that at least one of those servers was an oceanic server.  None of the names were familiar to me, but then I dont cl
