If you give away keys, the game should be ready to be played and downloaded immediately, or at least in the next couple days. And you shouldn't accept more "keys", until the people who got the first one can actually play. This is in reference to the Runes of Magic beta key giveaway, which was nothing of the sort, they just put you on the waiting list for the game - you might get to play the game, you might not, who knows? Certainly not the people who signed up. |

MMORPG.com offers the opportunity to participate in these betas. An opportunity that may be otherwise missed by many people. They provide a service to us members AND to the companies that offer these betas. However, they do not have control over how other companies do business. Take it up with those companies, not MMORPG.com |

Allthough I realise MMORPG.COM has no real power over what happens after they have rolled the winners, they have a little bit of power in this industry should they chose to excert it. I have won two contests this year, some 20 or 200 credits or points or whatnot for some obscure item mall game, I only entered for the graphic card and do not care about these points, but I have not seem them either. And I won an SGW beta spot, now I am not sure how that is handled as it was only like 2 months ago or so and they could still be in the process of handing them out but aside from the "you have been issued a winning ticket" mail I have heard nothing as of yet. Again, not MMORPG's faulth but I do think they should restrain themself from going into deals with these publishers that may not be honored later, bad PR for both companies. |
