Months before release, I like most had read all I can about this game. It had many innovative features. And "yes" they even delivered unlike most newer releases !!

RvR, PQ's, Interesting classes, many starting areas, and scenario's. I've read between the lines so I would not be taken advantage of, and I thought I was good at not getting fooled.

During open beta, i should have notices a red flag, with so much stock in scenarios.  But I guess I just blew right past that aspect !

For two weeks into release of Warhammer, I played everyday, avoiding sceneries cause i got burned out fast on them in the first few days, only to find I was getting next to nothing for not doing them.

DOES THIS FEELING SOUND LIKE MOST ?

In my studies of pre-Warhammer, I gave sceneries about 5% attention, yet it turns out I should have given it 95%.

With all the complaining about Sceneries, why don't they just fix it, I'm not a programmer ( far from it) but I'm guessing it would be an easy fix .

So why don't they fix it NOW !!!!!

What exactly, would you have them fix? You failed to mention anything.

And are the scenarios really broken (because some folks really seem to like them) or is that the rewards for doing other content in the open world (pvp, pve etc) are deficient.

Game balance is a tricky thing, so changes are not made without some care and thought.

I suspect they'll change things at some point, just not without making sure they don't create new problems.

No it is not an easy fix and if you would pay attention to the news you'd know that huge new things are coming to the RvR lakes to try and get people out of the Scenarios.   The simple end of the issue is alot of people are playing the game like wow rushing to the end thinking that only the end game has everything like massive rvr.  The more extreme is Scenarios tend to give out a more constant rate of xp and renown.  They have now boosted both to be double that of scenarios but grinders will always grind regardless.  The other issue is alot of players are all spread out over the place instead of in a small concentration of areas thus thinning the population even on a heavy server.

THey've got multiple things in the works including free server transfers, more rewards and activities only for the RvR lakes, more gear and incentivies for the lakes etc.   It all has to be of course programmed, created by the artists, and heavily tested.   Its not like you just write 10 lines and walla its ready and perfect.  MMO Games are millions of lines of code and millions of created artist assests that have to be tested before they're unleased on the public, but many others think like you...they know little and assume its easy and can be done quickly no offense.

its not as simple as that. They have to figure out the best way to fix them. the obvious answer would be to nerf the xp and renown gained, or just the XP so grinding them would take forever, and/or boosting pve xp.

Also, the fix would have to be enough to where people aren't tempted to scenario grind, but not overfix it and make people mad because scenarios no longer have a point.

Many people shy away from open rvr for several reasons, one being that they don't wanna be bothered with having to find people to work with. another reason I see a lot of people avoiding the lake rvr is because they don't want to be outnumbered by the enemy.

They'll work it out. There is no quick fix to the issue.

all they need to do is nerf ex in scenerios by 50+% and the problem would be fixed.

Nerfing creates more issues than it ever fixes.  If they did this it would drive the casual population the scenarios were actually designed for away and people still wouldnt' go to the RvR lakes because the incentives to go there besdies end game City Sieging isn't high enough.  The lakes need boosting and more activities to encourage the warfare.   My guild alone would spend more time there if there was more to do than just wander around and snag a few points and hope the enemy shows up.

take diminishing returns out of the RVR lake

if you are not going to put a death penalty in the scenarios take it out of RVR lakes

make keep lords weaker if you own all BO's in the RVR lake i mean if noone comes to defend let a single war party (6) be able to cap the keep

treat RVR as if it is the centerpiece of the game not the red headed stepchild with buck teeth

have events in the RVR areas (random spawns to fight over) hell put towns in the rvr lakes so it is world pvp not just RVR(my pet peeve is that war camps are a safe spot this is war a war camp should have to be defened)

don't try to compete with any company in pve till you learn how to make pve fun and not a boring grind (dungeons and lairs aside)

best gear should come from doing RVR not by random dropsor rolls but by how much time spent in the RVR arenas defending or attacking keeps and forts

the next problem is not Mythics per se but as i was quitting i had 2 guilds i was in talking about cutting recruiting off at level 30 (1 even stated if we were not 30 by october 20 we would get the boot) so any new players are going to be solo if this is how most guilds are focused

MJ already stated nerfing XP in the part of the game (scenarios)the majority of the players are playing in is not going to happen

A mmorpg junkie since 1998

Exp/reward boosts/nerfs aside - why dont they implement RvR queues?. They would work just as the scenario queues with a few exceptions:

* You could only queue for RvR within your lvl range (tiers).

* If there is no RvR you would be queued until enough people have signed. The first warband (both sides)would be teleported.

* If RvR is ongoing you would not be teleported but instead prompted to head over there asap.

* If teleported (initial warband) you would have the opportunity to teleport back to your original destination for 15 minutes (a small reward for trying to start RvR).

Im sure some other people can work out all the details and even come up with better/smarter solutions. Anyways - you get the idea.

Well first of all I dont see the scenario as a problem that needs immediate fix,  the thing they need to fix is a system that makes more of the scenarios getting played instead of playing the same scenario 95% of all the time you spend in a scenario during a tier, Tor anroc, serpents passage etc.... Cant really stand serpents passage so im just holding my breath there.....

I have on axe bite pass arranged several big  alliance events for open rvr on the order side,  we did all well and good then the destruction game and totally annhilated my  approx 3 full warbands, in about 30 seconds after they breached through the keep gate that we tried to defend.

If we got less xp in scenarios and people were forced out to open rvr only to get totally steamrolled or forced to roll dessy, would that please the masses? Would the underdogs really bother to actually go into this area and even try after a while?

Sure it's easy to say that it's fun being the underdog and that it only makes it more fun to win when you actually do and it does feel better , but everytime you get thrown at your face that you have no chance whatsoever over a long time that doesnt really encourage anything.

In my opinion they should first make a rotating system on the scenarios, then they should remove the open rvr "recent" kill that nerfs the xp, so what if it's 100% increase when you probably get a 200% decrease if you already killed that guy, at least remove this thing around the keeps so it's more profitable to siege.  And the ticks of 100RP  when you defend a keep, yeah well we know thats really really crappy when killing 1 dessy in a scenario T4 can give alot more xp in a few secs of fight

Fix the damn ballance of the dessy vs order, Yeah I know we can win often in scenarios and all that and that population is getting even, but concidering that they have had a major population headtart and boom, well at least on my server i see most of them running around as 40's with full set gears and thoose different "Ward" boosts that  it gives. While i barely know of any on the order side.
