So what do you think of the new blog on transport changes? http://myeve.eve-online.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=598 I think it is pretty neat giving stealth to the blockade runners and giving the upper level transports better tanking abilities. I think that this will be a big improvement in the ablility for most of use to transport expensive items without being suicided. While the can still suicide, it really ups the ante. |

Thats awesome, A buddy of mine actually stopped playing eve a few months back after a suicide attack basically destroyed all motivation for him to continue playing. While I didn't agree with him going maybe this change will bring him back to the game, since he was a good person and a fun corpmate. I like the change its more of a challenge to suicide and camp these vessels now which is good (more challenge is always something PVPers want) and now more players will transport since theres a better chance of sucess. Good change overall imo. |

I read 'em this morning. I only have two words to say in response. HELL YEAH!!!! Seriously though, Blockade Runners are getting bonuses more in line with how people actually use them (fast, agile, stealthy haulers with not so much cargo space but nigh-unstoppable in lowsec, especially now), and with the passive shield tank bonus and having the +2 warp strength moved over from BRs to the Transports, people might actually use them for something other than gank-resistant high-value highsec haulers. |

The main use is ofcourse for blackops operations, mostly for fuel/ammo. They obviously can't haul towers since that'd be TOO easy. I can really see blackops becoming a 'way of living' if you know what I mean. I'm quite sure they'll add more options and utility to the whole concept over time.
