WAR (Warhammer Online)

 I think its high time that Order got a badass class. Slayers are the most iconic classes of Warhammer lore, so why not add them? Heck Mythic even features a slayer in the 1st cinematic trailer going toe to toe with an ork. 

IMHO Hammeres are cool too but they look way to similar to the IBs. But i guess to each his own. If you wanna find out more about these guys,

They dropped the idea of the Slayer because there'd be no way to use them as a player class that wouldn't be the utter destruction of the game's lore.  It's like NGE with the Jedi complete and utter farce that players can easily make damn Jedi during a time period when they were basically wiped from the face of the Galaxy!!  Now you want to support wiping out everything Slayers are about?  The ultimately glory of death against a formidible foe?!!?  I'm sorry if they make a Slayer a player class he should be a perma death toon otherwise its a complete Rape of what Slayers are supposed to be.

if they can have witch elves, i dont understand why they cant have slayers. it would definitely bring interest to the game and go some way to balancing the population. At this stage with the game in its current state,fuck the lore..give us warhammer and all of it. nothing can be more lore breaking than a chosen grouping with a witch elf and them not wanting to kill each other.

Hehe and Witch Elf who looks like a striptease performer isn't an "utter destruction" of WAR lore? You may not belive me but every freaking MMOG isn't about lore or other same crap (like roleplay for example) but money only. If sum will be big enough the lore will look like devloper and publisher want.

I wouldn't be surprised if slayers were added next instead of hammerers.

It is widely known and accepted that destruction attracts players for the "cool" factor; slayers would draw a nice number of people to Order for the same reason.

Disagreements on some clothing is hardly destruction of lore considering they usually are skantitly clad in all the figures I've seen.   Its one thing to make them a tad more naked than to make them characters that live forever when they're wanting to DIE in order to right their disgrace as a dwarf.

there are plenty of cool order toons that could be used instead of the Slayer that wouldn't pretty much be an abomination.  If they thought they could respectfully do the slayer we'd of had the slayer.  This is a really tired dead horse argument that tons of people that have no idea what they're talkinga bout or don't pay attention keep bringing up.

Yea I can see the developers conversation right now.

Dev 1. Hmm the population imbalance is giving order a hard time. We better come up with a solution before people get fed up.

Dev 2. Hmm...  I know how about we add the slayer class to order. They could use a few more "cool" classes to attract the masses.

Marc. No way. There's absolutely no way we could implement them. It would be utter destruction to the games lore.

Besides there is another game that mutilated lore in order to fix population imbalance, Turns out the vast majority of players don't give a rats ass about lore.

lets be honest, slayers can only make the game better, if we are playing a game in the warhammer world let us have slayers.
