Blizzard are gonna remove the class forums and replace them with 3 role-based forums, that is, a forum for tanking, healing and damage dealing. More on it here..

Class Forum Change

This is an interesting change to say the least. They say they have done this to "celebrate diversity" and understand their player base better. But so far the overall reaction to this change on the official boards has been highly negative.

Class forums staying?

forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html

We still feel having these new forums provides us a better way of more effectively communicating with all of you.

With that said, we have decided to keep the class forums along with these new forums.

A lot of people are always resistant to change.

I think they need both types honestly. I like the addition of role based threads. But I still think there needs to be a place for druids to complain to other druids

Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started.

The problem with the class forums is that they turn into a pity-party where people sulk about how OP another class is with no balancing mechanism.   For instance, if feral druids complain about their DPS compared to a rogue, there are few rogues there to show a counter-argument.. so you end up with just a bunch of ferals all supporting each others 'we are weak' comments and crying for a buff.

The devs have given in and are keeping the individual class forums.. but I"m betting Ghostcrawler will make a point of posting a lot in the new forums (which were his idea) just to show the kind of countered debate he wants to see and participate in.  The class forums will be basically abandoned, and any suggestion you want ot make about your class won't get read unless you post it on the new forums.
