Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Greetings all,

Over the next few weeks we will be testing some new systems we are working on. Due to the need to patch live, as much as we can to resolve any problems, this juggling act from internal testing to our test server may result in some of these systems making it to test before we expect them too. So in advance I want to ask you all to submit bug reports if you see any of the following on test server.

1. An existing item with an item enchantment slot on it.
2. Merchants who are accepting infamy, faction, or other items as payment instead of normal currency.
3. Item set tooltip details.
4. Item set abilities.
5. Leveling past 50 causing any issues.
6. Alternate advancement ui showing up in place of another UI.
7. Gaining of AA experience instead of normal experience.
8. New PVP mods on items
9. New PVE mods on items

Thank you in advance for the help. The internal testing of most of these systems/changes has begun and will be gradually released on test server with details. But if you see these things before we make an official word please be sure to report it.
 

Clearly the guy is EVIL beyond belief...  On the other hand there are a lot of good tibits here about things that appear to be coming soon :P  Silas has a reputation for giving out hints in backhanded teaser ways.

Well in another post the devs have implied that this stuff is in test and has been for awhile and will be released with the partheon dungeon and raid update.  Looks like VG is getting a major update in the not so distant future!! 

Apparently today a large amount of new code was pushed to test that has also broken a lot of things. 

This is the most evil thing I've heard in ages...

Sounds great to ME.

I would love to return to this game. 

I think Vanguard had the most fun classes to play in any MMORPG I ever played.  They can all solo, so choosing a class is a matter of taste, style, or trying a different class for fun.  

It was important, at least I thought so, to have more "end-game" content -(a) AA experience; (b) epic Quests; (c) various "fun" activities; and (d) other- for non-raiders.  Who is a raider today, anyway?  Do raiders even want to play Vanguard? Probaby not.  Yes.  You need raiding.  But Vanguard has this enormous world that is fun, interest, and you want to explore it.  I suggest use that.  No other game really has that.  More lore.  More gods.  More character customization.  Exploration.  I think Vanguard devs are doing just that, and I am excited to see the outcome.  

Yeah, but in the mean time the freaking game is unplayeable due to trash mobs hitting for legendary and epic proportions. I'll cancel again and pick back up later on when they actually make the game more like the EQ series. I'm sick of this crap.

You have been saying this same line since you were posting under TruenorthBG over a year ago.  As much as you want to pay yourself on the back, it just isn't going to happen.  There are not enough resources to even try what you personally think will work.

Vanguard needs to focus on making content for its current playerbase.

I just recently returned for the first time since the GU4 update, and i gotta tell you, I missed this game. Pops suck but I can still get alot done on my own. Don't know if crafting is still worth doing, but I even missed the crafting grind. These ahh teasers sound pretty cool. Maybe they can rouse the interest of people who aren't satisfied with WAR or AoC or whatever their current game is and get the pop back up.

                   They are also addidng an entire new line of mounts to the already bloated herd of Neo Pets available .. Now joining the Lobster ,Spider ,and Plant thingy ,and assorted mounts will be your chance to earn your very own Looney Toon mount ,So if you ever wanted to mount Squidly Didley ,Bugs ,Daffy or even Porky Pig the chance will soon be yours ..
