I saw this today and felt like we'd been hit by the old school EA bug..if they can't exploit it they wont' release it?! What the hell sort of company is Activision turning Blizzard into? THese are tactics used by EA which caused many of us to question and even completely dislike the company over the years. It stifles creativity and even the chance that something could become a gaming brand. EA is atleast attempting to slowly step away or minimize such tactics (though I'm sure they'll keep it up.) But now Blizzard being so damn frank about it? Blizzard's always stuck with IPs and grinding them out but this is just 10 times worse knowing we'll probably never see anything 'new' from their creative minds. |

I don't think they can reach the level of EA until they start committing major labor violations. Its probably a French thing because Blizzard/Activision is controlled by a French Publisher, Vivendi. EA is controlled by a French CEO. |

Activision fails... they just tossed out some almost complete titles really for no good reason, and now Im all the more hellbent on getting Ghostbusters. May EVERY GAME THEY TOSSED sell well and show them what they missed. |

well you see people think activision blizzard = blizzard, that is not the case, yeah when they did the merger they got to put blizzard in their name but thats about it, blizzard themselves still run their games and whatever else they do, they don't have anything to do with activision games at all, when i went to blizzcon there were no activsion blizzard people there. blizzard calls the shots for their ip's and stuff, so don't blame blizzard for activsion being stupid, well maybe not stupid, it is a business after all, companies don't make games for the love of the genre, they make games to make money, we all know that and shouldn't be surprised when they scrap games because they don't think the game will make the cash they are looking for. |
