The suspense is terrible. I hope it will last.

I know we got alot of Experienced MMORPG players on MMORPG.COM and alot of you folks on this website know these tricks, but there are some that are still lost in this game and come to MMORPG.COM (God help them they come here for advice.. LOL j/k)

Anyways..

Starting as a New Player in Warhammer Online and don't know what to do?

Well as you know, Warhammer Online has many methods of leveling to 40. We all know that there are a few types of leveling bars in Warhammer Online.

1. Experience Points - This is the type of XP you get from anything you kill (npcs or other players) also any quests you complete in Warhammer Online contribute to your XP bar (MAX level is 40). Also doing Battlegrounds (Scenarios) contribute to gaining XP as well.

2. Renown Experience - You get this by either doing Battlegrounds aka Scenarios in Warhammer Online. (You can que up for BG's anytime in the game and this is the fastest way to get into some Player vs Player action). However when you got 75% of your server doing BG's to level, its harder to find people to group with if your looking to do Public Quests or RvR Battlekeep takeovers. And usually NEW players to the game will say. Where is everyone?

note.. Remember, when your doing BG's, to visit the Renown Merchant an Upgrade your Gear as you level in BG's

However back to Renown XP..

When you are in a RvR (Battlekeep or Objective takeovers, make sure you stand to defend what you just took, there will be a timer telling you how long you must wait till the Objective belongs to your faction. (You get Renown by taking the Objective and also defending the Objective, so dont be eager to leave until you get the Extra Renown XP). This mistake is always done by someone new to the game and they think since they captured it, it is ok to leave the area and move to the next Objective.

3. Influence Experience - You get influence experience by doing Public Quests in the game (this is what made Warhammer more unique than other mmorpgs out there, however in my opinion there should be more emphasis on doing Public Quests, alot of new players just skip over Public Quests since they cant
find any group/person to team with. This gets very frustrating for alot of players that want to do Public Quests'

Here is my tip on doing Public Questing Solo aka Chapter Quests. Remember you got Factions and will use ORDER as a example.

You got Chapter quests in all over the place.

A. HighElves vs DarkElves
B. Dwarves vs Greenskins
C. Empire vs Chaos

Unfortunately you may not be able to kill the Main Boss at the end of Public Quest, but go ahead and start grinding that Chapter out. If you look into your ToK (Tome of Knowledge) you will be able to see what rewards you get at the end of each chapter. When you starting getting around level 10, some of them Public Quests (Chapters) will have BLUE Items as rewards.

I experimented with this. I have a Level 12 White Lion, I started jumping from Empire to Dwarf to HighElve Chapters relating to my level, I believe I am doing Chapter 6 and managed to get 3 pieces of BLUE GEAR for doing Chapters in the different Faction Zones. (I made a 3 piece set in BLUE doing the same Chapters however in the different ZONE).

These pieces of GEAR definetly made a difference to my character and also attempting Battlegrounds aka Scenarios in Warhammer Online.

If you want to start fresh with a ALT character, try experimenting on the lower Chapters first, when I was level 11 with my White Lion and doing Battlegrounds, I was pretty much unstoppable because of my gear that I grinded in the Public Quests (Chapters). Renown gear at these levels is a little better, however once you get around level 9+, the public quests gear start to have better stats than standard Renown.

All in all, everyone plays Warhammer Online differently, I recommend doing Chapter Quests for the BLUE REWARDS around level 11, defiently worth it if you want to take a break from the constant grinding in BG's (Scenarios).

Goodluck in Warhammer Online..

PS.. And to any Veteran to WAR, if I have made any mistakes, please feel free to FIX, what I have forgotten to put in. I can take critism pretty good.. LOL

Waiting for Earthrise, Stargate Worlds, Fallen Earth, Mortal Online, Darkfall and WAR 40K Online.

New players might want to read some of the OP's previous posts on WAR to get a feel about where he is coming from.  For example, how he feels towards scenarios.

.. Umm..

This post in riddled with negativity towards Scenarios..

This is NOT a leveling guide, it's yet ANOTHER scenario bash post.

We get it dude.. Scenarios are BAD.

Scenarios were never ment to be played like they are now. Thats why when you try to play WAR there is only about 5 people in RVR. Thats why when doing quests its like playing a solo game. No one and just go read on VN boards that NO ONE to this day talks in chat.

If players were not in scenarios guess where they would be.. yep RVR then the game would be like beta in which that was WAR. Scenarios are a very very fast way to just level and RR. This is one reason the game is seeing less and less people.

As for BLUE items lmao man this game is so easy to get greens and blues. When you get to level 10+ you get greens and blues every day.  This to has been posted over and over that its just to easy.

Your best bet is to just wait a good 6 months. Or you will just be like.. wow no chat, no RVR and if you do RVR you find its like just in ONE place and only like 1h and then GONE. See you get more points if you just let the other side take the flag, keep and then wait for them to leave then do the same = lame..yet this is all they do. Its not about fun but RR/XP

A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men.

I find the regular quests lame and redundant busy work. The best way to level and advance your character in my opinion is to pretty much stick to scenarios and PQs until you get high enough to RVR more. then spend most of your time in scenarios and RVR.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

We aren’t satisfied until all our customers are! -Gaute Godager
LOL

Am I the only person who actually enjoys scenarios? I'd hate it if they removed them from the game.
