Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started.

REVENUES
     July subs               300k    x   15  =  4.5M
     August subs           150k    x   15  =  2.3M
     September subs      75k     x   15  =  1.1M
     Box sales                                     = 1.0M
     Other games(mobile)                  =  .8M

TOTAL REVENUES  =   9.675M (1,2)                       Last quarter  13M

TOTAL OPERATING EXPENSES =  -13.5M            Last quarter  -18M
EBIT =  -3.83M                                                              Last quarter  -5.7M
EARNINGS AFTER TAXES = -5.25M                        Last quarter   -7.2M

Cash Beginning of Period   36M (3)                         Last Quarter  52M
Cash End of Period    20M                                         Last Quarter   36M
Change in Cash Flow   -16M                                     Last Quarter   -18M

Short term debt     22M (4)                                           Last Quarter 22M

(1)  3 and 6 month time subs were more than likely bought in the 2nd quarter (June) and therefore are not included as revenue for the 3rd quarter.  The 300k subscribers listed for July only includes people who paid in July, the actual number of players is higher.

(2)  One time revenues as a result of the sale of Pluto-life were not included here.  Pluto-life was sold for 3.6M to be paid over 12 months.   If 2 payments were made during 3Q, then revenues might reflect that  .6M amount.  It all depends on how Funcom chooses to report that sale.  They possibly could include the entire 3.6M in the 3Q report.

(3)  Cash beginning of 3Q =  Cash end of 2Q

(4)  No way to know what Funcom did with their short-term debt.  I kept the numbers the same.  I just wanted to make sure to list this catagory so people look at it when the actual numbers come out.  This is a very significant number to keep an eye on.

The numbers in yellow are my projections of what Funcom will release tomorrow.  The only  comment I will make is that the way they report the sale of pluto-life will impact Revenues and Earnings.  If they add .6M in revenues because of Plutolife, then my numbers will be .6M too low.  If they add the full 3.6M because of Plutolife, then my numbers will be 3.6M too low.  Most companies would report the sale 'outside' their normal numbers... which is why I didn't include it at all in my numbers, but funcom can take any of the three choices in how they report it.

Just to explain the 300k number a bit better.

On June 30th, Funcom stated they had 415k players.   This 415k number includes people still in their free month (so probably 50% of those would not be subscribing based on other retention rate numbers).  The 415k number also includes people who bought 3 or 6 month subscription in June.  These people also would not be paying anything in July or August (and therefore are not counted in the 300k number).  The number of players in July was probably closer to 400k, but the total number of people Funcom received $15 from is closer to 300k.

Ofc not people like to pull numbers out of their asses.

Its easy look:

REVENUES
July subs 3300k x 15 = 4.5M
August subs 2150k x 15 = 2.3M
September subs 1175k x 15 = 1.1M
Box sales = 50.0M
Other games(mobile) = 15.8M

So it seems Funcom is doing great.

p.s. You can see their official stuff here: www.funcom.com/wsp/funcom/frontend.cgi

So Funcom made 50m from the Box sales? How did you arrive at 50 million? What portion of the total sales is actually Funcoms?

I seem to remember them saying that the Box sales meant about 8$ per copy to them? So thats more like 6.4 million @ 800,000 copies sold.

Most of those figures you are quoting are from Q2 arent they? The 3rd quarter numbers have yet to be released dont they?

EDIT this is directed at the poster directly above me and should have been quoted: MEH BAD.

WOW.. people have reading problems.   The title says 'projections'.  These are my estimates of what Funcom will release tomorrow for the 3rd quarter ( July 1st til Sept 30th).  The column on the right that is labeled 'last quarter' refers to the quarter up to June 30th.

Funcom gets about 15% of box sales.  The vast majority of box sales came in the second quarter (they made 8M from box sales in the second quarter which ended June 30th).  My projection is for them to have made about 1M since then ( July 1st til Sept 30 when the 3rd quarter ends).

Yeah, as of Sept 30th, I think the 75k number is a pretty safe bet.   You can see the second quarter results by going to funcom.com and clicking on the investor relations link.  The numbers on the left are my projections of what Funcom will release in the next day or two.
