Don''t reply to me or quote me if you can''t do so without breaking Forum TOS cause I will report you!

Typical of most competitive MMO's, people usually race to the top to gather some bragging rights. Anyhow, just logged on today and saw only a level 72 Shaman so far. So, when you get a chance, post the highest level toon on your server. Please post level, class, faction, server and what type of server.

72 Shaman, Alliance, Darkspear PvP at 0800 MST

Looks like someone got to 80 already but got banned in the process:

I personally don't see the point, not much to do at 80 right now, and alot of the new content passed by real fast.

Bring back Earth and Beyond.

No leveling race for me, I had three WoW accounts and on the 14th the final one lapses, no more subscription fees for Blizzard. I'm not going to go through the process of leveling up another ten levels and restart gearing my Toons again, there are too many games out there that are of a higher quality and actually stick with their level cap. I'm sure that eventually all games start finding ways to keep long term players going but this method of raising the level cap just pisses me off.

So I'm glad Blizzard is having a good showing, but they should just remove the level cap altogether if this is going to be their trend.

I can definitely see your point, but if you are constantly the same level, what is a person suppose to achieve in-game? I know from my own experience that leveling is what keeps a game interesting for so long. You get new abilities and skills, along with new armor and weapons. If there was a game where everyone started out at the same level and had the same gear, I think it would get boring rather quickly. Oh wait, those are called FPS games.

Leveling is nothing more than a pace setting device so people don't get bored so quickly. Can you imagine starting EQ2 at level 70 with mythical gear and all abilities? Just how long do you think you would be able to play before getting bored?

As for Athene getting to 80 in 13 hours, well, congrats, but obviously what one GM thought was legit was obviously not. Otherwise they wouldn't have sent a senior GM to rectify the mistake.

Well, new gear and areas can be added to a game even within the same level. Adding new skills for each class that you have to earn through quests can be added as well through expansions, etc....Lots of group quests throughout the world to gain better gear and more pvp areas can be added as well. Lots of things can be done with the same level cap over a games term.

Leveling is fun though, but def. not needed in a game. There are ways to make your character unique, awesome, and skillful without using level caps. ;)

Btw, this shouldn't be a race. Come on now, explore the new world.

Lol, I'm well known for my incredibly slow leveling pace.  Imo, most of the quests are decently written and enjoyable; besides I enjoy exploring a bit.

Nothing against those who want to level quickly though.  One of my colleaques does so, mainly to have an advantage in the BGs and now Wintergrasp.
