I haven't played WoW in over year. I never played BC. I received an email from Blizzard for a 10 day trial of BC though. It mentioned leveling twice as fast to 60, which interests me. I want to know how it works. Were there new quests introduced in BC that gave more XP or do old monsters, and old quests now give more XP too? Also with LK did the increase the speed at which I could reach 70, similar to what they claim with BC? |

Well, they did change the amount of xp gained from quests and such between 20 and 60. Allthough it aint that markable. But there is a recruit a friend thingy that can help, gives x3 exp when you are in a party with a friend from level 1 to 60. Works great, been leveling with it and well.. Got to 40 in about 25 hours. |

As far as I understand (Correct me if wrong guys) all of the quests etc pre 60 basically give you more XP etc, and I think thats in regards to monsters as well. Post 60 I think XP gains return to normal (I noticed a big difference in levelling once I started on the 60-70 zones) but it does make it that much quicker.
Plus I believe if you recruit a friend through your account, you also get special bonuses where you get even more XP when questing together plus the ability to zone to each other? Again, could be wrong and mighta been a temporary promotion!
Good luck in WoW! |

Originally posted by Nicoo This is incorrect. The changes to leveling from 20-60 are quite noticeable, but it's about 1/3 lower, not 1/2. And they did change the amount of XP you need from 60-70, it's about 1/3 lower as well. I recently took a toon from 60-70 after the changes and I completely skipped Netherstorm, Shadowmoon Valley and most of Blades edge. If I had to do it over again, I would probably skip a few of the more boring quests in each zone so that you won't outlevel the zones. I found myself doing a bunch of quests in Nagrand that were like lvl 66, when I was about lvl 68 or 69 and I could have been doing stuff in Blades Edge or perhaps even Netherstorm or Shadowmoon valley instead and it would have went faster I think. |

They also made a bunch of the old group quests solo. In some zone this makes a huge difference. (hillsbrad, Arathi and Hinterlands especially). Those zones used to be full off group quests that you either struggled to do solo, or skipped. They also lowered the level you can get a mount (now 30) which makes things a little faster from 30-40. |

If you run two copies on your box with RAF and have a friend who's 70 willing to run instances over and over you can hit 60 in 18 hours /played and have some decent cash by then too. Even just having a RAF toon follow you around the grind is way quicker, especially quest running. I've noticed about one level for say half the quests in a given area, unlike before when you had to do em all plus a bit of grinding (unrested) |
