WAR is SUPPOSED to look like that. It wouldent really be warhammer if they changed the look. Also there would be no way you could RvR with 200 people or whatever if the graphics was super uber. Would be nothing but laaaag. Untill every person has a super computer sitting on thier desks thats just how it is. Honestly sometimes I think people wont be happy untill they are plugged into the matrix. Then again if you want that much realism then the best thing to do is /quit and go outside.. lol

WoW is a good game if your a hardcore PvE'er. I like the game but since I have played it since the day it released im just way to bored of it. However... it is a fact blizz has been ripping off  warhammer since Warcraft: orcs and humans. Why should WAR change its look because another game has been ripping it off?

I didnt feel like reading thru all 6 pages so someone might have said this already.. to the OP's 1st post.. im not 100% positive but im pretty sure mythic has said from the start they was "making a great "game" not a "world"".

not a fanboy. doubt i will even play it for atleast a few months after release. got better stuff in RL to do. but they said at the start this game would have very little crafting. so again ya cant really bitch about it to much. since they told you up front. but the stuff you can make is usefull on the battle field so whats the complaint? like i said this game is all about the rvr. next people will bitch they cant go fishing and bake birthday cakes. dude there are TONS of other games with all that type of stuff. just go play one of those and not bitch about a game thats not about such stuff an never pretended to be:P

- Enemy capital city Hmm slaugter the enemy, sack his city, kill his king, open locked areas and quests.. im guess im missing the part where thats not fun? lol

- Scenarios (Gonna be tired of them by lvl 40) Then dont do them, do some real rvr.

Have I missed anything, I mean is there really anything else to do, open world RvR is just like guild sieging, so basically this game has empty end game just like the rest of them. If you don't have a guild, don't plan on seeing good end game because there's not. No competition, nothing, and in the end, they may come out with some type of updates, but I'll be still playing Warhammer because I have a guild, I don't know about u guys, nothing really in this game besides guild competition.

No competition? Are you nuts? Order vs Chaos! There will always be competition unless one side suddenly never logs into the game for some reason lol and I dont get what you mean about guild competition, this isnt AoC, this is WAR and its about order vs chaos.. good vs evil.. RVfreakinR! not guild vs guild. Sounds like you want to play a game like WoW or something.. where once you work your ass off to get max level an good gear they slap you in the face with some retarded expantion and make you grind all over again for levels and gear. Personaly I hate that crap. If I wanted to grind again id make a new toon to level up. Annoys the hell out of me they take your hard earned toon and make him suck all over again. WAR does have end game, its called RVR! Thats always what the game has been about. That fact has never been hidden. No one has any right to complain about lack of anything else beyond rvr since you go into the game knowing what its about. Thats like playing hello kitty online an then complaining you cant decapitate fellow players and drink thier blood.

Very true. I always find it funny how people go all boohoo about grinding and want a skill based game but you STILL have to grind in one way or another to get your skill up. Take UO for example, I was a long time UO player.. and I cant even remember how many hours a day I spent fireballing myself to get resist up an shit like that. Way to many fuckin hours tho I asure you that lol. About the best way to do it was macro skills and gain while you sleep or expliot a bug (like the blade spirit bug before they fixed it to get resist up).. but then you run the risk of getting your account banned an shit. I wasted more hours of my life trying to get 7xgm skills in UO than I ever have getting to max level in any other game. lol

Dont get me wrong I like skill based games. UO was the shit! But its still a grind no matter how you look at it in ANY game no matter if its skill based or level based. About the only way to get around the grind is if they give you max skills/level as soon as you start your character. But that would be lame. Sure they could just make leveling skills or levels up super fast and easy but then that would get kinda lame too.. cuz if there is no challenge.. whats the point of even playing?

When it comes to the grind there is no difference when it comes to..

"woot! finaly dinged 20!"

"woot! finaly got .5 more skill in (insert skill name here)"

Now im not bashing skill based games at all. They have good points to them over some level based games. Just saying when it comes to the grind its pretty much all the same.

I laugh when I see people quote the "WoW has 10 mill subs" thing.

A large chunk of that is from asia so it doesnt count imo.

Not being racist by any means, i'll count the ones who actually play the game like normal. Im talking about the fuckin gold farmers an such that need to be murdered and rot in hell lol.

i thought it was 2 classes an 4 cities? what where the classes cut?

unfortunately there is no target or best buy near me. id have to drive a few hundred miles for that. Walmart is the only place in this town to buy games :(

Beta testing is for finding bugs, not for trying the game out to see if you like it.  The "open" in open beta means that there is no NDA or other restriction in place, not that it's free to anyone who wants in.

"Players can get into the WAR open beta by pre-ordering Warhammer Online from select retail partners. Participants of the closed beta will automatically be granted open beta access."

So.. you have to pre-order or have been in closed beta to get into open beta? thats not really an "open beta" imo...

I havent got to play the game yet but if you dont need to sit down to regen hit points or magic ect.. then it doesnt really need a sit command.. why do you NEED to /sit? Some wierd kind of OCD?

if they speed up the combat to a insane pace they better drop the damage done cuz i dont want battles to last a few seconds. i want a good 10-15 second or so battles.

seriously tho if i log on at some point and tanks wearing hundreds of pounds of armor an wielding big ass swords are swinging 100 swings a second like they are shooting up a combo of steriods/meth i will personaly murder everyone who bitched about combat speed in thier sleep... with my mad ninja skills:P

Im going to try it just for the fact its Startrek lol huge fan of ST. And I have been wanting to play a space type mmo. Tried EVE but couldent really get into it. Annoyed me I couldent really customize my ships in that game.. the look an such. Alot of the ships really looked lame and couldent see INSIDE of it or anything lol. Watched the intervew about STO an seems we will be able to customize the look of the ship inside and out so hell yeah I will give it a go.

I like the combat in WAR...

insane fast combat when your wearing 200+ pounds of armor and wielding a huge weapon/shield is just stupid and fights that last 5 seconds are just as lame. just my opinion tho...

I like short/small characters in games because they are usualy harder to target in RvR. No matter the race I always go short as I can. Big usualy = hey see me/kill me 1st! Altho I dont usualy play tanks... id rather a fellow player who is a tank take the hits while I hide behind him an then jump around when we get close an own everyone.. haha. So... now that I think about it... forget dwarf.. go "gay looking elf". I could probably hide behind just your lame conehead hat lol.

I know they are trying to keep on par with the warhammer lore but.. man those helms suck

On that aspect I say screw the lore an get different looking helms for hight elfs lol.

I agree with some things the OP said, i disagree with some things, and some things have been that way in most online games ever since online games have been created.

Like what the OP said about getting groups, but people being "l33t" isnt anything new. I remeber playing EQ and no one ever wanted to group with my Palidin. It wasnt because I sucked with him, quite the opposite. I was great with my pally and I had fun playing him. But people didnt like pallys cuz warriors was better tanks and clierics was better healers so thats what they wanted. I remember a convo pretty well just cuz it pissed me off so bad and it went like this. I was in... hmm I forgot the name.. highhold pass? I think.. but anyways.. I see a group fighting and I notice they didnt have a tank..

<me> Hey looks like you need a tank, can I join you guys?

<l33t groupleader> Nah we'll wait for a warror.

At this point im thinking WTF? Cuz the group wasnt full and they needed a tank.. but I was like whatever and started watching tv while waiting for some friends to come online. Like an hour later I get a message from them.

<l33t groupleader> Ok I guess you can join, no warriors around.

<me> umm ok... thanks..

So now im in the group and we are kicking ass. Owning the mobs, no deaths, and great exp. We kick ass for about 20 mins when a warrior shows up. W/o warning I get kicked from the group and they invite the warrior to take my place.

<me> hey wtf? why did you kick me?

This wasnt just one isolated incident either. Stuff like that happend all the time to me an other people I knew who played a pally and/or rangers even. Point is no matter what the game is there will always be "l33t" asswipe people who treat it like a job insted of treating it like a game and having fun. If someone can get the job done a little faster, cheaper, better they will fire your ass an hire that person lol. Thankfully I think most people arnt like that an just want to have fun. If you run into a group of  "l33t" people just ignore them an find decent players. And im not saying to KS an assholes kills.. or anything else that might annoy them..  but man I sure am thinking it loudly..
