How the heck are you gonna judge a game by its website? You're a fool man. They're finally trying to push the game out, and you're flaming over a poor website? They don't have time for that junk dude - They'll work on it after the game is launched when they have less on their plate. If you want "current status," check out the test vids. Nuff said. |

Oh man, do I understand how you feel... After years of most companies "falling short" of an amazing product, this could tie the knot. So, nay-sayers - It's vaporware huh? |

I think it's hardcore just for the simple fact that it's you against the world. The environment can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Hardcore to me isn't just FFA, but it's adding a realistic factor to FFA. No skill smashing, just straight up hack-and-slash skill. If you die, it's your fault, not your character's (meaning spec / abilities / class type / ect.). That to me is hardcore. |

Yup, you hit the nail right on the head. Lol sorry for not being specific. I'm looking forward to it though, nonetheless. |

I like how a large majority the people who support the guild and have something to say about it have no more than 10 posts on this website. I call bull, because I am almost certain those who are posting have been members for a long period of time, and are just saying they're new to assure the newcomers will indeed feel right at home. It's all a class act of guild members talking to each other and acting like real people who are actually interested. Good try, but epic fail. |

"Open RvR Ruleset Change You've given us your feedback and we've listened! Open RvR servers will now allow you to play one tier below your current level without turning into a chicken. This will allow you more time to experience the PvE content of the first 3 tiers, and it also adds more danger to the mix." |

No point in posting about it anymore, your right that video was horrible and vile. If I wanted graphics and gameplay that looked like that I would just play EQ1 and call it a day. Least EQ1 is out and released about 200 expansions in the time it has taken DF just to develop it's core client. *shakes head* I'm out.
QQ more brotha. Don't forget to shut the door on the way out. |

It gives an even more realistic feel of things. If Adventurine is trying to get the "real feel" going, this is a very good way to start. Give a compass, yes, but as far as those mini maps and overview maps, take em out. Allow us as players to pathfind ourselves by landmarks and such. This adds much much more to the exploration factor, and when we actually do run across a really sweet dungeon in the world, we would give other players directions instead of saying "it's there on the map." I say this because DAoC was my first MMORPG, and at release, there was no such thing as a map. To this day I can still pathfind most of Hibernia in my head due to having to learn and memorize where everything was. It just makes it feel like a real place where you can describe where you've been with words instead of a map. The same can apply to chatting... Take out any type of broadcasting or sending of tells, and put in mailboxes and delivery men/women. Allow shout to travel a certain radius, and that's it. =) Make it realistic, it's a lot more fun to have to work for what you want to accomplish. If you have an armor crafting store... Mail out ads and give directions to where your store is. Put up signs. Not only that, you won't know when the enemy will hit unless you send out scouts to track their pathing I just think the further you get from what you see everywhere else, the better and more unique. |

Originally posted by Keeper2000 Two different games with different features. They will hardly compete with each other... they will compete for some pvpers but that's all. One is a sandbox skill based with FFA PvP with full looting, very niche game. The other is a RvR level based one, which is obviously oriented to other target of players. I think both games can be very succesful ones but I think they are not competing with each other too much. I am happy we will have these two games as options to enjoy.
Well-said. |

I say this because I notice Mythic and Adventurine have quite a bit in common. First off, they don't lie to their playerbase. From their mouth, what's said is said, and what's done is done; if there are changes in-between, it will be known by us. Second, they don't aim high then shoot low; they set their goals in a high place and attempt to cram a lot into a game, yet they still try to shoot even higher than that. Third, they aren't afraid to take something out if it doesn't meet their highest standards; by this, I mean very very high standards. So in all honesty, given there has been a beta since late last year, I strongly believe we would be informed by Adventurine if things weren't looking good. They won't lie to us... If the game was going to take a nose-dive, we would have heard about it already. The latest from them is that everything is actually going as scheduled this time. That's not to say they won't do another push back; because if they do, it probably will not be a very large one at all. Look at the trend here... Good business ethics is a must these days, win - lose - or draw. Unfortunately, there are still a crap-ton of companies who still don't get the point, leading players to think all companies are the same. Sounds kind of like a bad relationship doesn't it? Does not one become bitter after being boned by the opposite? That's just my opinion--- Take it with a grain of salt if you wish. |

Lol can't say I don't agree *shruggs*. It should be a really good game according to all the podcasts I've been keeping up with. A lot of substance and depth in character generation/advancement, and a lot of different things to do in game depending on the mood you're in. You can be anywhere and do anything you want, and you'll contribute to your living/breathing town. +2 =) |
