Wouldn't be at all surprized if Acclaim is having closed beta so they can find a way to impliment an 'item mall'. So ya gotta pay the full monthly fee but having extras at the mall for you to spend more money. I am starting to see why there is little mention of this games release in NA...

Makes no sence to have a closed beta for us, while europe is done n the game is on the market.

Yep that definately sucks...here I was lookin forward to playin soon. Been killin time waiting for this release since AoC didn't do it for me. Now gonna hafta kill more time...;P

I have looked all over n cannot find it listed at any gamestores for pre-order or any kinda orderin NA. It is hardly even listed anywere as a game to be released. Think d/l will only be from Acclaim website?

I am a gamer, my wife barely knows how to turn on the PC. I started gaming when we first got married (11years ago), she worked nights so I would play games in the eve while she was gone. Even now I still do my gaming in the eve, after the kids goto bed. She gets controle of the  TV remote! We do alot of stuffs together...but ya need some time doin your own thing as well.

This game is good and the professional reviewers confirm it. It is always good to have (again) some reference point on MMORPG_WoWhate.com. All back with your feet on the ground.

That's why I post. To counter balance the incredible moaning here  about a game you can talk about in real life with your friends and have fun with, for months or years even.

Well just keep in mind all those "Professional reviewers" were also giving AoC top scores of 8/10 n 9/10. Seems pretty much any game that has the money behind it is always gonna get a 'great review'. And seems most of these MMO reviewers are already in the WoW pocket, as most of em are fans already.

Yeah...just gettin over a bout with a cold/flu bug myself. Chicken noodle soup tastes much better goin down then comming back up...

First off I love Spongebob! But I agree many of the nick. shows are just plain bad n pointless. Aside from spongebob, I don't let my own children watch much of nickelodeon. There are far better kids shows n stations to watch than that crap.

I was wondering the same thing. Any of you beta testers know if the game is still on track?

I know from experience second life does try to charge, months after you cancell your account. I had an account n land, was costing me about $35/month. When I cancelled the account n land, I also DELETED my CC info. A week later I received a notice that my payment info was incorrect and they couldn't bill me...3 weeks after I cancelled. I continued to receive these e-mails, then my account was blocked and I received an e-mail three months later stating in order to retrieve my account I had to pay them their 3 months of missed payments. Even tho I cancelled, in order to activate my account I needed to pay them for the time I was cancelled before I could re-activate my account...make sence? Ended up they deleted the account...

Either way I think everyone who uses a CC for any subscription needs to be sure to delete their info upon cancelling. Your info stays in their database for them to use at anytime.

I agree the site doesn't look or work all that well. But while bioware may have made good fantasy games...I think they did a pretty good job on KoToR games as well. And as already mentioned, we have oodles of fantasy MMOs already, and I am sure there will be more fantasy MMOs comming out before SW comes out.

And how is it so much the fault of the parents...as it is of the kid himself? Seriously if the kid at 15 is too dumb to take a break.... I hope the parents take away his PC for a few months....that is what I would do.

I spend more time here than gaming. Tells me right now there is few games that really interest me. Once I get involved with a game then I barely even look at the forums anymore.

I'm afraid that time is long gone my friend. Todays games are about powerleveling,getting uber loot (threw grind or RL cash), and companies making as much as they can offa the playerbase.

As to the OP, I much prefer the P2P models. Altho currently the F2P models are the same as the P2P games. In both you still have a lack of maturity, massive grind, and mediocre graphics. But as it is, the person with the most cash is still gonna be futher ahead in a F2P game.

Problem is with this, what you find in game is not going to sell as well in game, cause everybody else with be tryin to sell that item. And it will not be as good as the cashstop item. Ppl with the RL money buy from cashshops, sell those items in game for way more, then sell the gold for RL money, and can afford to buy even more cashstop stuffs, so they still remain further ahead than anybody else.

This prolly a better idea anyway. Open betas are little more than free trials...most ppl just want to get into the beta to play for free. Then ppl complain cause the 'beta' is not a perfect running game.

Yup, that is about what 90 percent of the game is based on. Usually the ones who make the most money in game are the ones who sell porn (either animation balls or video). The goal in the game is sex n drama. Unless you have a genuine interestin in building/designing (other than sex stuff), pretty much nothin else.

Much like the "Vista bashers" You are basing this off of perception. I get in game help rather quickly with EA tech support.

Agree with donjn, I been on n off for the past 11 years n never had a problem with support. As for the the 'Vista bashers' , their complaints are usually legit n require a whole different forum...=P

#5 P2P games are not much better than the F2P games. 

When I get sick of a WoW clone after a month a F2P game...it has costed me nothing,

When I get sick of a WoW clone after a month...the P2P game costed me too much!

It is a good game...if you don't mind poor char customization, boring combat and quests that suck and mediocre graphics...

Why would anybody be scared of competition? How is this always the defence of DF fans who come in bashing every other game? To me DF isn't even a thought. Simply cause I know too little about the game, and the rabid fanboys here have pretty much made it a game I wouldn't want to try.

DF n TCoS are two entirely different games altogether. In a few weeks, I will be playing TCoS...will you be playing DF? I hope you are...will make discussions about games alot nicer without all the 'DF rulez!' comments.
