  • New Repair Tool

    CCP's Mandrake has revealed the new and improved EVE Online repair tool. On installing EVE Online, the repair tool automatically installs and places an icon on user desktops. Essentially the repair tool is the back up plan in case any files become corrupted due to any problems encounterd during the patch process.

  • Hulkageddon III: Summer of Gank Begins

    EVE Online miners beware: An intrepid group of players has declared that Hulkageddon III: Summer of Gank has officially begun. Open war has been declared in all sectors of space with mining vessels as the main object of the summer gank fest. Real life prizes are being offered for those who bring in the most ISK, EVE's in-game currency. Organizers are particularly keen to beat last years 278 billion ISK.

  • PLEX Changes Coming

    In a new developer blog post on the official EVE Online site, players are being let in on changes coming to the PLEX (Pilot License Extension) in-game item and redeeming systems. The changes boil down the the removal of a bunch of restrictions. Check it out!

  • Tyrannis Performance Improvements

    During recent massive battles on EVE's Singularity server (PTS), developers noticed severe performance issues. Finally able to track it down to the caching system running in negative memory usage, developers were able to rectify the situation for Tyrannis.

  • Dev Blog Update Provides Recap on Recent Outage

    EVE Online's single live server "Tranquility" was recently down for an extended downtime due to technical difficulties resulting from a server move. CCP Games compensated players for the downtime by awarding them additional skillpoints for the time lost as well as a new planetary interaction focused ship. Today, CCP Yokai updates the official EVE Online dev blog to recap what happened and explain what CCP intends to do going forward to assure players to prevent future incidents such as this.

  • Players Receive Skill Points, New Ship Due to Downtime

    CCP Games is doling out additional skill points and a new Primae ship, whose main function is to extract resources from planets as part of the newly introduced planetary interaction feature, as compensation to players for an extended downtime resulting from a server move that was recently carried out.

  • Alliance Tournament Qualifiers Break 60K Concurrent Users

    This past weekend CCP Gmes kicked off EVE Online's eighth Alliance Tournament with the first round of qualifiers, which was exciting news in of itself. And that excitement translated into yet another peak concurrent users (PCU) record breaking, as players cracked the 60k PCU barrier, bringing the new record to 60,453, beating out the 56,021 record set in January of this year.
