Giving AOC a try again and rolled a POM (level 15 on Wiccana). So far so good, seems they have fixed some of the performace issues I had when I tried it at launch. Anyway, going back in with low expectations and really having a good time with   the game so far. After trying WAR, I really do appreciate this game alot more now than I did at launch.

Just a note to Funcom, just keep on fixing the problems and people will come back. You might not get them all back but at best you would be a solid alternative to those not playing WOW which would be a good thing.

My condolences, hope things get better before they stop supporting it. The Norweigan goverment has not yet decided weather to bail them out or not. So there is always hope.

Great post.  It really makes you wonder  "what would have happened if AOC would have launched the game now".   They would have not had the PR nightmare they have, and they would be stealing a ton of Warhmmer players.

Once they get the server mergers done so that seiging can actually be a common occurance, then the game will be good... but the PR issue is too much to overcome as well as the financial problems of funcom.

Good to hear Saint, Patch 3.0 should be on Live in a while, maybe a month or so. However, you can always copy your character across to test it out and see what its like before it hits live.

Hmm no answer... Ask for a buddy key in sticky on top of forum page. If you want dense population join Wiccana, Set or Thog for PvE. For PvP you probably should log Cimmeria, Deathwisper, Tyrrany ...

I made another character on Set last night, got to level 16, still in Tortage. Place was just as packed as my initial server at release. Wonder what its like further on. But NewPlayer chat is busy and plenty of people helping shows a decent community there.

Patch = Soon, June or July.

From the new game director = Server merges are are actively being working on ... to most recent post in ten ton hammer ---> server merges are something being discussed but nothing is being planned yet.

Its all good. Players returning to game from other pursuits...Soon....June or july.

I have the same feeling. I sense much more activity over the servers these days.

I recently purchased the game, and I am having a lot of fun so far! I am on Wiccana, and have also noticed an active community there. Lots of mentions of people returning to happy results.

Case in point, not all the negativity spewed about this game is valid.

GG would still be in charge though, so it would be in a PR nightmare in any case.

There is a lot of controversy about AoC for the reason it introduce so many new gaming systems. Some don't like them, while others adore them. That's why you have to test the game for yourself.
