It will never be a very big game and nobody will ever forget the way that Funcom treated the game and their customers over these last six months. But it may get a few people to return. And of course there will allways be the small crowd of blind fanboys who will fight to the death for the game like our buddy Cobra here.

I saw one of you post in one of the other AoC threads and I just want to let you know that I do not belive you. It is just odd to straight out hate a gamedeveloper to the degree you hate FC. It makes me think that you youself have some personal agenda. No hard feelings, but it looks kind of strange.

It looks strange to me that a guy who signed up for this forum yesterday already has eight posts, all of which defend a game he hasn't even played yet. Then he states that he doesn't believe the statements of someone who has played the game.

Only one real difference; more people who say they hope the game survives also think it will. A positive trend, for sure. Is that change due to more positive vibes in the community since the poll started, or just that the "hating" people (wishing for someone's work and others' entertainment to be ruined) - who are also dead certain they are right - are faster at jumping on threads and polls to trash the games?

Age of Conan is one of the finest MMORPG's out right now wether people want to admit it or not and it will only get better with time.  It's gonna be just fine without the doomsayers.

I read something that is very true for AoC in one of the other threads. "Where as other MMO developers seem to be looking backward when making new MMOs, FC and AoC is looking forward and trying to tap into new technology and ways to do things. This is giving the game a tremendous potential". This is what makes AoC so interesting, it just keeps getting better and better for every patch. I have no doubts in that AoC will grow into a even more fantastic game before it's release in Russia/East Europe later this year.  

Seems AoC is getting a bit of a positive spin these days. Maybe time to check it out again, once I tire of WAR. Or maybe Mythic will add some more stuff to keep me interested soon. We'll see.

I mean I dont think its a trick, its poorly worded and deliberately vague, but when you read as I read it - it looks bad.

I had no trickery in mind with the poll text. It's very clearly written, in my opinion. As for fanbois and haters, I think it's fairly clear that anybody who hopes a game fails qualifies as a hater - it's sad to see so many people on these forums (or any forums) be that kind of character. One who hopes for it to survive isn't necessarily a fanboi though, but can e.g. hope for all games to survive without particularly liking Age of Conan itself.

Make your definitions and analysis as you wish. Reading your posts and seeing your "clever" avatar and all, I have no doubt you'll disagree with me. ;-) I have no interest in discussing it though, but just wanted to share my opinion on it.
