Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning News - Choppa and Slayer Careers Announced

Posted by Keith Cross on Jan 29, 2009  | 6 comments in our forums

Mythic Entertainment has officially announced the Dwarf Slayer and the Orc Choppa as the two new melee DPS careers in Warhammer Online.

As announced in the newsletter, we are excited to bring you news of the latest additions to the Armies of WAR!

For uncounted centuries, the Dwarfs and greenskins have been the most bitter of rivals. Now that the Slayer and the Choppa are set to join the armies of Order and Destruction, old grudges will be answered and ancient enmities will be given new breath. Though the outcome of the war still hangs in the balance, one thing is certain: the battle for the Warhammer world is about to become deadlier than ever!

Once the Bitter Rivals live event begins this March, take part in daily challenges to earn a head start in the two awesome new careers.

Good start, they do seem to be trying hard to turn things around. Now if they only had player housing ;) and a "full loot" zone.

I'm interested in seeing how this stuff pans out.  I still have not played WAR, nor do I know anybody personally that is playing it, however the new classes announced are at least hyped in a way that they both seem attractive.  I'm one of those people who don't raid anymore, but don't hate WoW enough to switch to something else.  I'm actually more excited about GW again ironically, and you know that's not really saying much.

So typical of Mythic, release new classes before prior ones have been balanced.  You can bet the new classes will be overpowered, just like every other new class Mythic has introduced over the years.
