now here is in all honesty the best beta comparision refview of the 2 ever made on these forums want to know why? because no one has played them both at the same time and actually wrote an unbiased review.

HERE WE GO

WAR vs WoW this will be a closer fight then most of you think (both WAR and WoW fanboys). im just going to tell you now WAR won to me but if i had never played either i would have not though it to be such a close comparision. now on we go...

WAR

here are the games i have played, TR, WoW, Runescape, shadowbane, guildwars, every free MMO (except ryzom doesnt work for me for some reason i think its vista causing that), DAoC, AoC, Vangaurd. Now all of these if you took WAR by any aspect (except PQs, organization and UI) atleast one of these games does it better weather it be graphics with AoC, PvP (RvR) with DAoC, ect. these games BEAT WAR. but in the first time in history it probably got 1st or second on everylist possible (except raiding which is boring 70% of the time anyway) it got second on graphics it got 2nd in pvp ( which could easily go it first in higher ranks) it did everything right and did i forget to mension if mythic doesnt randomly screw up (that wont happen) WAR will have the best launch in any game in porbably the last 10 years (better than WoW and LORTO).

now for my gripes

i have a super computer though it has been known to have issues with games before (UT3, some in WoW, ryzom as mensioned eilier) and the fact of it is WAR lags on my computer

it lags on when

- i was on 1 specific server the most

-when there was alot of people on the server but the amount of people on screen didnt affect it

-when i looked at lots of water (they just changed of the look of the water it looks better than water in AoC but swimming animations are horrid still)

i did update all drivers which did help but didnt solve it and also over time it did seem to get better so that has a 99% chance of not being an autual launch gripe but whatevs.

then my  other gripe which i know for a fact every one had was responsivness of stuff

on acasion the game freaks out and all npcs wait like 4 seconds to attack or you cant attack them or your abilitys take to long to activate ect.

then my last little gripe is when you walk down a hill there are random invisible walls and you fly off the hill and always get hurt down know who dicided to make it like that but it was not a cool thing to do i like being able to walk (or run) from a situation in any way just a little thing that makes me mad.

if i gave WAR a percent value i would give it a uummmmmmmm 93%

now to everyone's favorite which they masturbate to (or dispise and want to rip up the copy they bought because they eventually got bored after 4 years of playing randomly and think it ruined the industry because they got bored) WoW

now this is comparing an established game's expansion to a uprising game so i should probably be harder on this expansion but i wont be.

this is a VERY polished expansion (except for a few text bugs and i few things go under the ground particially when they shouldnt but its beta) but at the same doesnt lose the fun facotr that previous stuff in WoW had faster. Want to know why? it is too easy (not suxually though most of you like to think of it that way). Really you know what i felt like i felt like i was in a high level starting zone the whole time i played through northren (or how ever you spell it {im not a good speller} ) it is very cimematic though unlike previous content in WoW (which WAR has also alot of which i forgot to mension) (WAR has more) and they went through a graphical change ONLY for the expansion content all ground textures are high res now unlike the rest of WoW and it looks good everything else is the same. (as in the same i do mean the same as in every buildiing was recycled)

gripes

-too easy players will get bored of a lich king that takes a ten man group and no thought process to raid that only takes just a couple hours

-recycled everything

-the landscapes in about 60% of northren same VERY uncreative and are really boring to look at they seem gritty in a bad way.

-its not enough to keep people entertained for  2 years i would say 2 months for hardcore 1 year for casual just because the raiding is made for casual only really and WoW will lose its hardcore crowd (with is 10 year olds with no life which is also their main demographic)

so this is what will happen you know how in the US and europe WoW only has 4 million subs and asia has the rest well lets imagine asia didnt exist for now.

WoW has 4 million subs

lets imagine 70% of the people who play WAR played WoW

AoC has 800,000 boxes sold and it sucks WAR will easily have 1 million

700,000 players leave WoW for one month

i imagine until WotLK comes out only around 50,000 come back to WoW

leaving WAR with about say 930,000 players or alittle less after month 1

month 2 WAR gains some up to 980,000

month 3 WAR gains even more it hits over 1,000,000

month 4 WotLK releases (OMG.....lol) WAR drops to 750,000

..................

...............

month 9 most all bugs have been worked out of both WotLK and WAR WAR has around 1,250,000 subs WoW has around 3,000,000 (remember asia disapearred)

if WAR was sold in asia one of 2 things would happen

1. it would fail because asian people only like grinders with good end game pvp

2. it would triple its subs.

so yah thats it falks i hope you enjoyed my representation of everything from WAR WoW and beyond only time will tell if WAR is good enough to get a huge dent in WoW's overpowered armor.

P.S. there is a little class blaencing that needs to happen in WAR but over all it has the best class blanences ive ever seen on release and will have little changes done to any of the classes except spellcasters, and order healers
