From that list, its Aion without a doubt. The rest have joke like concepts which just dont have mass market appeal other than Star Wars.
Additionally, why did you include Star Wars Old Republic? Wasnt your excuse that they are going to release/go into beta soon?
Anyway I'll ignore the poll and give Mortal Online a mention for the future. Certainly has some promise.
Besides the only MMOs people actually give a shit about right now are Darkfall and Aion. So its really between them.
mass market appeal generally means shallow easy gameplay with no risks involved.
Yeah, I would look down on mass market appeal, look what mainstream MMO's have delivered us in the last 3-4 years... Nothing good.
I personally chose Jumpgate Evolution. I think this game is the most unique, most original(besides there being a previous version of it), and I think it is going to be the best over all. I absolutely cannot wait to play that game.

Not ANOTHER thread about this..once and for all,GET OVER IT...
Move along, move along..............
If you see the title, and know what is going to be inside, why do you even open it, read it, and reply?
I think most of us would get over it a lot easier if there were ANY MMO out available now that was even half as good, with half the freedom and choices pre-nge had. But since the MMO genre has completely failed this player group, all we can do is remember, and hope.

Fu*k me then, couse im still here after 2 month, and i love it. and fu*c me sideways, does it feel good to NOT play a fantasy mmog wow clone? Fu*k yeah it does! In what way is swg NOT a WOW clone?????? dont know enough about wow to comment The whole point of the NGE was an attempt to capture the WoW target audience.
Do i fint many people online? Sure as hell! sir you must be blind Depends on the server. Many have a hundreds online during prime time. You mean 3 servers have high populations, the rest are empty. I tried the game again over summer and found 5 people online on my server at prime time, and 4 were afk.
Do i fint the game empty, the SWG forums Empty? Fu*k no i dont. no it's not completely empty SWG forums represent a small fraction of the actual community.
Am i FU*king tired of the igonarent and bitter SWG haters out there that think that they know what the status of the game is? i left the game 7 months ago after a year of gameplay and went back for the free time this week it is a badly done wow clone made by ppl who could give a rats a**e about the ppl playing it with 5k or under players left Current estimate is between 25k-30k active players across all SWG servers. The devs have come a LONG way over the past couple years in terms of listening to the community. They made a mistake with the NGE and realize that. Even that rather high estimate is a sad cry from the 200k+ the game used to have. If they realized the NGE was a mistake, they would have changed the game back. Instead they have been spoon feeding dumb down versions of old features they removed and the few remaining players have been calling it great content!
Bloody fu*king hell iam!
Will SWG still be around when Crap of the old Republic comse out? Hell yeah it will. it will be around until SOE has squezzed the last red cent out of its customers SWTOR will be cool but i dont think its going to provide the depth of play that many are expecting. Contrary to what many think, SWG is probably still the most 'sandboxy' of games on the market Yes, SWG does have one of the most sandboxy environments even in its crappy current form, but that is more the fault of a failing MMO industry that of SWG being great. But I still think a lot of people only play SWG because it is the only Star Wars MMO, and when SWTOR comes out, those people might take a hike. Not everyone, but I guarantee you see a big population hit.
Before any vet comes in and UUUUUUh you have only been around for 2 month you know nothing...uuuuh. I have been around for over 2 years, but compared to the regular wow clone, SWG actually has a learning curve. what exactly is your definition of a learning curve? For better or for worse, SWG is NOT directed gameplay. You pretty mch have to learn things on your own or from the community. No, the old game was undirected. The new game holds your hand pretty well.
Ihave been to lazy too try and learn everything there is, but this time i took the time. And damn it is worth it. the vast majority of people would disagree with you and they'd be right to do so SWG just isn't worth what SOE charges Depends on where you ask. SWG offers A LOT of options - pve, pvp, RP, crafting (hell of a lot more robust than wow), space (unprecedented space action), card game, collections, badge collecting, beast master, player BH system, etc. etc. Lots of depth still in SWG
Sir I postrate myself at the feet of the NGE taget audience!
I'm guessing they aren't paying their marketers as much any more![]()
no, i am not a paid marketer :) SOE has always sucked at marketing SWG
Sorry, but to me it isn't even all about the game and it's features, no matter how bad and buggy it still is. It's about principle, and I REFUSE to give money to a company that cares as little about their customers as SOE does.

how about being to optimistic why is every other company allowed to miss release dates and this one not?
Other companies don't miss a release date by 6 years
razorwax missed the fiorst 1 then the went and redid everything nto sure how much the had to scratch but its tech a diffrent game
It's the same game. Sorry but after, what, 10 years since inception if you haven't released or aren't close to it, I don't think all the time in the world is going to help you. It's time for them to put up or shut up imo.

The only problem I have with it is the horrible character models.
I agree, the models are still far too cartoony. The bodies are disproportional, their legs are way to big compared to the rest of their body.
I think the graphics look slightly better than before, with the tone downed lightsabers, but a few things still bother me.
Like I already said, the character models are out of proportion and look cartoony. Their clothes, even though they are wearing robes, still look like spandex(The pants are perfect tight fit, there is no loosness at all which adds to the cartoony look and makes it look like spandex still). There seems to be too much shine on things that shouldn't have any shine, like the cloak hood or their pants. And the terrain looks far more like a drawing than it does a world. These all add up to look incredibly cartoony and immature and I still don't like their art direction in the least, they should have just stuck with KotOR graphics.
What is your favorite SOE published title?
