well after doing the tutorial (with the lady in blue robes) i found myself in some town (new haven i think) and decided to skill up. took me a while to figure out how to fire my bow (but it was worth it in the end). Spell components are a tad confusing as i honestly cant keep track of all the different ones i need to cast spells.
at the end of my first session i managed to find out how to sell items to vendors...unfortunately they dont take everything so i have to track down individual vendors to flog off stuff.
so a few questions (i am currently in the city of Britannia)
1. is there an easier way to sell the stuff i find? should i only be bothering with certain items?
2. i cant seem to use Tame animal or Animal lore. i think i read somewhere that i have to buy the skill off a trainer. if so where can i find one?
3. any other tips would be nice ![]()
i am enjoying Vanguard. Diplomacy and crafting are a nice alternative to the grind.

just reading those stats makes me want to go outside.
as for completing a game asap i have always said and always will say. Games are about the journey...not the final destination.

I re-subscribed to Lotro, But AoC is still on my desk waiting...i will be playing AoC for sure, probably in a few more months, the game is truly awsome, just needs some time and work...few more months should make it that much better..cant wait.
same, every time i look at where it is currently sitting i always get an urge to load it up. Few more months and it should be perfect for me. after all...my Assassin's blades need a good wash with blood.

Crafting, does it make the best gear -- or is looted gear?
Also, I'm mostly a casual player who will be solo'ing. I'm not a fan of pet classess... though spell casters are my favoirte. Which spellcaster class is good at solo'ing if any?
Thanks
ok up until raids (80ish) crafted gear tends to be better than looted. The game is fairly forgiving in this aspect as there are questlines that you can do for decent weapons (Tomb of Tsang and Hunter's league). Armour is usually crafted as it is hard to find stats you want (crafting is able to customise armour pretty well when it comes to stats).
as far as spell casters go. Bloodmages are capable healers and (somewhat) capable nukers. They are basically an affliction type class that dots the enemy, leeches health and hurt themselves to boost damage.
Sorcerer is basically a mage (and a fun one at that) and they use all of the elements to their advantage
Psionicist is by far one of the most interesting classes in the game. they basically battle with their minds, controlling, charming and melting enemies minds. it is a challenge to play but if played right they can solo mobs that would take a whole group to take on.
its up to you really, i recomend Sorcerer if you want a standard mage/wizard, try Bloodmage if you want to help out in groups and enjoy dots. Try a Psionicist if you like a challenge and a unique class.
they can all solo well
