| Biography | I started gaming when I was seven years. I began to play MMO''s starting out, unfortunately, with Runescape when I was ten years old. Since then I''ve had a long history of playing and then quitting horribly written MMO after badly bugged up MMO. I still hold that there is hope for this genre of video games and hope to see it redeem itself in the future. |

I guess... but for it to be multiple options... I mean for only a few players who took the time and the resources to build those massive cities... then they could use NPC's much like in Darkfall to accomplish tasks for them
I really really like it... I'm so buying this game. It's not quite what I said though and I'm afraid you misunderstood me. I meant that you could switch from playing your character to controlling a large group of characters as in age of empires, the total war series, etc. However, Darkfall looks pretty freaking awesome and I'm going to look into beta for it.
Now I've come to realize alot that in games people have come to expect that their character is going to level up to max level and then stay there and own other people in PvP. I always thought it would be cool if players could slowly become more powerful, gaining support.
Before explaining my idea in detail I understand that the programming difficulty would be enormous and the idea of course needs editing, re-explaining aplenty and has difficulty showing my idea. Just something that you could do.
How many of you liked Oblivion? And Age of Empires? And The Stronghold series? And the Total War series. What if the few could be combined in a mix. When I think of true limitlessness I think of being able to take and hold castles. Own my own city, having NPC troops and human troops who I pay to fight for me. I have always wanted to play a game where I could fight from first person or third or even eagles view, being able to switch back and forth as I please. The idea would be a struggle for power between guilds, true guild wars. I'm thinking, a player driven economy, completely and totally. A player based city and country system. And a reason to PvP, I would truly love to have a castle and be in an alliance with other cities and be under the allegiance of a King. Not some NPC king who has three emotes and sees you personally, but player Kings and Emperors who rule the game.
I would like to take my troops into battle. Having hired Player mercenaries to help me fight to gain power and wealth.
I'm sure you all understand what I'm talking about. A completely player driven game. Another idea would be for the quests to be given by merchants and officers. With an active eco system I'm sure that people who owned resource farms would be more than irritated by animals eating off of their power generators or crops. This gives players the option of going NPC and having quest icons for various things. I'd be interested in owning a blacksmith shop. I need the iron ore and materials but to mass produce I need people to bring it for me. So I hire someone to do it. Preferably newbies looking for mining experience and needing to get payed for it.
If I ever had the luck of eventually owning multiple cities I could have governors to manage affairs and keep things in order, then I could have troops to go and expand lands, build outposts and begin to set up my domain.
A full political system would be in order as people trying to vie for power would pay off higher officials to get them better assignments to catch the King/Emperors/Lord's Eye so that they would get better jobs and higher pay and better equipment.
Basically you take a bunch of games and combine them, add a little originality and flavor and you've got a game that alot of people are looking for.
Of course the idea isn't complete and some things just aren't possible. But I'm allowed to wish for stuff aren't I?
That was really good, I've been dying for features such as these. And I got tired of seeing people running around in the same outfit. I might even consider buying this game... sigh. We are the bored.
Man I miss this game... but I went back and looked around for my old group BTZ and couldn't find em... once I get some money I'll be waging war on the germans again. See ya'll there.![]()
In your opinion, what kind of gamer are you?
