they charge what people will pay. as long as people are willing to pay full price for digital download, they'll charge it.
Then people need to get smacked upside the head! Come on people, enough with the impulse buying! ![]()

I got the email reminder as well. What I don't get is why they are charging the same amount to download the game ($49.99) as buying it in a retail store. You don't get CDs, Manuals, Box, Artwork, etc. Shouldn't they charge less for the digital download?
I agree, they should! They are just ripping people off by doing this. I'll wait till the game hits the bargain bin and I can pick it up for $20 and have the discs in hand.
That's what I'm waiting for too. I was totally wanting to play this game, but now with all the complaints I will wait till it goes down in price.

Seriously now, i dont understand why digital download products are sold for the same price as on the shelve products. Clearly making a box, manual, cd's must cost something. How come digital download is the same price ?
That's what I said. Why Funcom...WHY!!!

So...was the tits and gore just a marketing scheme to get a huge chunk of cash right at launch, then revert the game to the WoW demographics (which was Funcom's real focus)? LOL, I smell conspiracy!
Aside from questing, what do you spend most of your time doing in-game?
