Pretty rare for games like this to grow much after the player base gave up on them so my guess is that your guess is probably about right. Probably something under 250K but enough to keep adding to the game.
If you like the game and this is the only complaint against it just tough it out until rank 30 when you can do T4. That is where most of the action will end up anyway. I hated DAOC while leveling up, found the PvE boring as heck but once I got to end game i really enjoyed it.
I loved WoW while leveling up but once I hit end game it was boring as heck at max level because of no real PvP other than stupid TM vs SS stuff.
My point is if you went through the first 26 ranks why quit when the start of end game is just 4 ranks away.
I have a DoK which plays sort of like a WP and they do ok damage. I can tank same level champions and 1 level lower hero mobs in a PQ. My biggest issue is burst healing. I also have an AM and I can't come close to busrt healing the way the AM can. Also since my main heal is based on melee dmg I find I have to be very careful with what I target.
Must just be a bug, I stop enemies running all the time, I like to push them into rocks.
I dunno, I find it better than AOC.
AOC combo system was pure button mashing, making me hit 5 buttons just to do a special move and making it take roughly 5 seconds to do one? That was just a silly system. Sure you hit buttons faster than in WAR but you made decisions a lot less often.
The AOC combat animations were better and the sounds were a ton better but the rest of the game was just bland and boring and the PvP systems cannot compare, WAR is so much better.
