    • Please make character development more complex
    • I agree 100%.  I'm sure everyone else does too, well except for the 14 year olds that come from WoW of course.  I really hope they allow a great deal of customizatin, however, I don't believe that is going to be the case.  The path they seem to be taking is a very guided path where the player doesn't have much manipulation in skills and character development.  Though this is still in early stages so they have a lot of time to sway this subject from the dark side:)

    • OP, you are going to take a lot of crap for making that observation.  However, you are 100% correct.  I hate to tell you for those who don't like to hear it, but if this game is fpv only then they might as well not even release because there will NOT be enough people subscribing to even pay their salaries lol.  Trust me on this one.  I know you think I'm wrong and TONS of people will be subscribing anyway, but the fact of the matter is -- they won't.

This is why you will see the fpv comprised before release.  They will relize how big of a mistake it is and the fact that even us sandbox fanbois will trash a game that doesn't allow 3rd person view.  The best way to attack someone in this game would be from behind because you'd never see them till you were dead lol.  FPV is a something that CAN be adopted into MO with success.  However, perma fpv is not likely because no one would play it!  I anticpate MO addressing the issue further down the road.  But for those who think perma FPV is amazing and you'll fanboi this game off a cliff, well trust me we are not that stupid as consumers and they are not that stupid as producers so the game you are thinking of won't exsist.  And if they are that stupid, well good luck, you'll need it.

I agree.  The UO you see today is a total waste of time and money.  It gives orginal UO a bad name.

However, I am heavily into crafting and was hoping for crafting similar, but different to SWG. I hate the fact that everyone can craft the same weapon and then flood the market with little or no variation (like most MMORPG’s). Everything I have read so far seems to suggest that crafting in Darkfall is simple and basic, which comes across to me as just like other online games.

I was really hoping for something more from Darkfall. I would love to craft my own weapon but the quality of that weapon varied. I would then sell it and get a rep as a good weapons seller. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

      Just my thoughts…

Talk about jumping to conclusions.  You don't know anything about DFs crafting system.  I can say that confidently because none of us, even those beta testing, don't know much about the crafting system.  As the poster above me stated all evidence has led me to believe that it will work like UOs crafting system which was extremely successful.

You are just trolling by making negative statment in your post topic to get others to bite.  Wait, I just bit didn't I?  lol  But if you even so much as mention your care-bear WoW crafting system here, God help me I will jump through your monitor and smack your face troll.

    • Why doesn't anyone talk in MMO anymore.
    • This is something I have noticed too.  I think it is because these games are so gear-based and quest-based and without the sandbox style it is just not as social.  I noticed in old Ultima Online people would gather in places just to talk because we didn't have a general chat.  It made the game so much fun.  I just can't get into these 9 hour raiding games anymore.
