I'm a shoemaker in real life and I agree with the OP.
It pisses me off that I can't go home after work and play a game that emulates a job, don't we all want to make tons of crap items over and over and over again for no reason?
MMOs need less fun and more work!!

Enough with the Xfire doom and gloom posts.
Imo about 1% of the freaking community uses that thing.
Hell I haven't turned mine on in three months.
It's no indication of anything.

Controls aren't needed in todays MMOs.
With all the instant-gradification games out you no longer need to control anything.
Just pick a class, create a look and hit the play button, you will be shortly rewarded with a credit roll screen.
